This is yet another report on the poor battery life of this product. I had mine for only 4 months when the battery died completely. Admittedly, I didn't babysit it continually during the "conditioning cycles", as the manual suggests. I figured that since it was supposed to be a labor-saving device, I shouldn't need to check on it every few hours.

I tried calling the customer service line several times, but it was always busy or never picked up. I never got around to shipping it back, so now I'm stuck with a dead vac and the prospect of paying to replace an inferior battery.

I would avoid any Shark cordless vacs until they upgrade to 21st century battery technology.

I actually Purchased the EP750H...which I imagine is the same useless piece of equipment as this, with a slightly less "euro" look. I purchased this vac about 6 months ago it's suction power was unbelievable for about 2 months. After that it's only purpose on this earth was as a paper weight. Of course I don't have the box to return the item, and wouldn't you know it, I couldn't even go back to the store to get the same one, since they don't even stock it anymore (so no even exchange). The battery hold no charge. I followed the instructions to the "T". Charge then discharge then charge again, before experiencing the full power of the vac. This vac is extremely easy to fully discharge, since it only runs for about 10-15 minutes.
