Pros: Large capacity, quick heat, cool touch, easy to use, easy to clean, digital thermometer Cons: The writing comes off easily... hard to find
I love fried foods. I know that I've gotten into this whole organic, chemical-free mode lately... but a part of me (the part that'll never let me be model-skinny) can't help but love things fried. From funnel cakes to french fries to catfish, ...

Pros: Heats fairly quickly. Good temperature range. Can be completely disassembled. Cons: LOUD beeping sound, hard to clean basket and element. Slow return heat.
This is about my fourth deep fryer in as many years. I have been impressed with its ability to heat the oil, but not impressed when it comes to the speed of the oil returning to the correct temperature. This is a larger (as far as home use) deep ...

Unsatisfied Overall
by dook2448 ,Sep 23 '07
Pros: Digital readout, quick heat-up Cons: Electronics and wiring
It usually heated up quickly, but did not keep a uniform temperature. It has now fried itself! An internal wire has burned up, and the machine is only 9 months old (and was used very infrequently.) Not worth the packaging & shipping costs, and the return postage required, to send it back to the company. It sits in my garbage as I search for a new deep fryer from a different company.

Euro Pro SUCKS!
by drosen ,Aug 04 '07
Pros: NONE - Because it does not work. 3 Units all defective! Cons: Waste of time, money, and sanity.
I have had only problems with Euro-Pro Fryers. The main unit shuts off for no reason. I waited over 3 months to get a new part. The new part had the same problem. If you are thinking about buying a Euro-Pro Fryer, DON'T! Run. Run away. Run FAST!

Disapointed
by eflyguy ,Sep 12 '07
Pros: Capacity, quick time to temperature Cons: Poor temperature control, defective electronics
I returned the first one as the heating element would trip off after reaching temperature, but never come back on once temperature drops. Have to power off and on to get it working again. Second unit behaved exactly the same. Manually monitoring the temperature with a probe thermometer confirmed not only this, but that the unit never hit the temperature selected - it was always low by 15-25 degrees. When you use a probe and manually control temperature, it works fine, but that's not why I bought a "Professional Deep Fryer with Digital Control."
It also suffers from steam escaping the rear of the cover over the controls, which is a safety hazard.
I'm returning it tomorrow for something else - hopefully better.

Not worth buying
by ftss ,Feb 04 '08
Pros: Easy to setup and use. Temperature indicator lights Cons: Short life expectancy.
I bought the Euro-Pro for its size and ease of cleaning. The magnetic power chord was a plus for the added bonus of safety The initial experience with the Euro-Pro was one of pure delight, simple display with temperature indicator lights showing when the unit was ready for use.
Out of the box and ready to use within minutes. Temperature control with pictures of different food groups etched on unit suggesting temperatures suitable for french fries, fish etc... another great tool.
After use the removable heating element was out for wipe down with paper towel immediately.
Now after only 11 months and only 4 or 5 times being used the unit is now in the trash. Initial problem was the temperature light kept going off and taking a long time to get back up to temperature. I used a digital thermometer to verify the temperature when the food was greasy and found the difference between the display and the actual temperature was around 155 degrees. Superbowl food ruined and the host red faced. The bottom line for this fryer is with such limited use it is not a good buy for anybody!

Euro-Pro Trash
by daven74 ,Jul 19 '09
Pros: Works well on those occasions when it works (just like a Mercedes Benz) Cons: Dead long before it should be.
Bought in Feb 2008, used 8-10 times and carefully cleaned and stored after each use. Suddenly in May 2009 would not turn on. Pushed reset button and it came on. Next time in July 2009 no luck whatsoever - completely dead. What possible manufacturing excuse can there be for such a simple device? What a complete piece of crap designed and manufactured by thieves, morons, or BOTH.
