  • Powerful vacuum that looks modern but has flaws

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    May 24, 2012
    Pros: Powerful suction, bag-less
Cons: Heavy, loud, cord retraction is not smooth

Summary: We bought this vacuum for ourselves for Christmas, several years back. Two things immediately stood out: it's heavy and it has a very bold, modern look. It is made by Shark, a division of Euro-Pro. The website for this vacuum cleaner is ... read more

    Pros: Color
    Cons: Everything else

Summary: Terrible vacuum. Cheap materials don't last long at all, even with gentle/light use. I live alone with no pets, and this thing still didn't last 6 months before it started breaking. Dust cap barely opened from the beginning, I had to bang the chamber on ... read more

Pros: Does suck up a lot of dust and dander, long telescoping wand.
Cons: Too much to list.  Read my review.

Summary: I have had this vacuum almost 2 years.  There is so little that I like about it.  When it is working properly, it does have good suction, at least when it comes to tiny little things and dust and pet dander (We have 2 kids and 2 cats).  ... read more

  • doesn't stand up over the long haul

Pros: good suction, good telescoping wand, easy though messy to empty
Cons: not sturdy enough to stand up to much use

Summary: We have hardwood floors, 2 cats and 1 very hairy dog so we needed a vacuum that would pick up pet hair and dust. We wanted one that we didn't need to buy filters for also having had that overpriced hassle with our last vacuum. The suction on the Infinity ... read more

  • It sucks- but not my carpet!

Rated a Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Dec 27, 2008
Pros: Light weight, handle suction works well
Cons: Poor floor suction, clogging, falling apart, release cup is a joke

Summary: I wish I would have saved my money and did more research on canister vacuums. I have had the vacuum for less than a year. From the get-go it seemed like it had clogging issues. I do not know how many times I have had to disassemble the entire vacuum to ... read more

  • Love at first use...slowly faded away

    May 22, 2008
Pros: Great suction and attachments, easy to empty and clean, great for allergies
Cons: Cheap construction, replacement parts hard to get or nonexistent, didn't last the test of time

Summary: I have had my Infinity for about a year now. Prior to purchasing it, I did a lot of research, and did see some of the negative experiences of other users. The reviews on this vacuum were about half negative and half positive at the time. However, I ... read more

Pros: First time used, worked great.
Cons: Doesn't suck Can't get replacement parts easily

Summary: The very first time we used this vacuum it was great. Wonderful suction, and we were very pleased. Then it went downhill from there. You can not vacuum more then one room at a time otherwise it will overheat (as indicated by the red light) and shut ... read more

  • Great Vacuum

    Jan 28, 2008
Pros: Good suction, great features, easy to use and clean
Cons: Takes a while to dry... Short cord

Summary: I began looking for a new vacuum cleaner this last fall. My Hoover Wind Tunnel was just not doing a very good job any more. I had gotten to the point where I was kind of fed up with bag less and was considering looking for a vacuum that used good old ... read more

  • LOVE TO VACUUM

Rated a Somewhat Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Jan 5, 2008
Pros: Ease of use on carpet and bare surfaces & ease of cleaning when canister full
Cons: frequent emptying... probably, still picking up old vacuum left in my carpet from years past!

Summary: Great looking exterior which design is very important in my life since that is what I do for a living. It looks like it should be left sitting on display rather than in the closet! The extending handle is a definite plus as I do not like standing on ... read more

  • If I didn't pay so much, I'd throw this out the window.

Pros: stylish, pretty color, cyclone technology, great suction ... when it works
Cons: very messy to empty, poor air flow design, dust cup too small

Summary: I've had this vacuum for almost a year now, and in the beginning, things were fine. It had excellent suction, no complaints. I bought it because it had the same technology of a Dyson, but was much cheaper. I grew up on knock-offs and generic brands, so I ... read more

  • HORRIBLE!

    Jul 1, 2007
    Pros: It is bagless.
Cons: it cracks easily, and seems to quit easily as well.

Summary: This thing, I have had for 6 months now. While I thought it would be a better buy compared to the Dyson, I was way wrong! This vacuum has just stopped working on me! I use it every other day, I do not use it to pick up large things, just the dirt I ... read more

    Jun 12, 2007
    Pros: Looks nice
Cons: Suction is a joke. Too many filters/parts to check when problem light comes on.

Summary: I bought this at Costco as an alternative to spending $500+ on a Dyson. Big Mistake! At first I was very happy with it. It was good looking and quieter than my old Hoover. But after about 8 uses the red light started flashing. I whipped out the ... read more

Pros: Suction Easy to maneuver Long life hepa filters Versatile Headlight Not excessively loud Looks cool
Cons: Small dirt cylinder Emptying cylinder is not easy

Summary: We just purchased this vacuum today from costco. $199. After glancing at the instructions I put it together and began using it. Over all I really liked it and it got the job done. It's very strong and suction is consistent even when the cylinder is ... read more

  • It Sucks Alright

Rated a Somewhat Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Apr 29, 2007
Pros: Learned that India has several dialects, and that you can still be incompetent w/a PHD.
Cons: Suck up those tears of frustration & your vacuum will sound like a leaf blower.

Summary: At first this vacuum is great. You are amazed at the amount of crap that you pull out of your rugs, and even how clean the air smells after you use it. I even thought that the carpets felt softer. I have had this machine for just over 2 months and am now ... read more

  • Dangerous!!!!

Rated a Very Helpful Review by the Epinions community
    Apr 25, 2007
Pros: Concept of a cheaper "Dyson" type vacuum No bags
Cons: Cord location very dangerous - need to hold continuously to avoid getting caught in vacuum.

Summary: I purchased this at Costco today - thinking it would be a cheaper option than the Dyson while we build a new home that will have a central vacuum system. Oh my what a mistake I made! The #1 problem is the power cord location - I used the bare ... read more

  • Awesome vac and has good looks too!

    Apr 23, 2007
Pros: Incredible suction. Easy to clean. Accessories work very well. Replacement parts pretty cheap.
Cons: Design of the extension cord storage. Frequent emptying of canister in large homes.

Summary: Why didn't we move from our older Hoover vacuum sooner? Well at least we had waited for the Infinity NV30 Upright vacuum. We've had a bagged upright Hoover for sometime, after all they take a licking and keep on ticking, but, ohh, the dust and muss ... read more

  • Suction Shock!

    Dec 31, 2006
Pros: Excellent suction, washable filters never need replacing, fairly simple to use, so far so good!
Cons: Inconveniently-located cord, locking in upright position difficult at times, needs larger canister for fewer disposals.

Summary: This is my first experience with a bagless vacuum. As my pet family grew to 1 dog & 4 cats, and my Kenmore couldn't handle the pet hair any longer, I decided to stop playing the "which bags fit my vacuum" game every time I went to the store and take the ... read more

    Pros: good suction and design
Cons: cheaply made, some things don't work or don't work well

Summary: My wife saw an ad for the Infinity Vac on TV and thought that it would be worth trying it as a less-expensive alternative to the Dyson. Compared to the Dyson, the Infinity falls short in many areas. First, the positives: 1) The suction seems good. ... read more

  • Shark Infinity is a joke

Pros: Worked great for about 25 uses.
Cons: Heavy, difficult to clean, difficult to troubleshoot, noisy, frustrating, irritating, agitating.

Summary: Spent a few hours dismantling because the red light started blinking. I removed the bottom panel, intake port, and bagless chamber and thoroughly cleaned every part as if it were brand new. Then I cleaned the hepa filter, the foam and polyester pads.
