Pros: The Shark Steam Mop cleaned floors really well;cord is nice and long. Cons: Tank is too small. After three months the entire unit just stopped working.
I bought the Shark Steam Mop because I wanted something that would not just slosh dirty water around but would really, really clean my floors. I have three dogs and 5 cats, so I didn't want to use chemicals on my floors since they are closest to the ...

Pros: steam sounds like it is doing something. Cons: terrible. just sounds like it is cleaning something, but really it just sounds good.
I had the worst experience with the shark steam mop by ordering it online per an advertisement on T.V. I should have known better. Well it doesn't work. I mopped my wood floor once following all the direction. I changed the pad to a new one and mopped it ...

Pros: Easy to assemble.Picks up dirt and holds it.Easy to use, quickly gets job done. Cons: A little expensive for what it is. The steam could be a little more forceful.
After seeing the infomercial on the Shark Steam mop I knew I had to have one! They were $80 advertised with 2 micro fiber pads. I found one at Costco that comes with 5 micro fiber pads for only 68 bucks. Got it home, put it together pretty easily, filled ...

Pros: No chemicals needed Cons: Leaves a musty smell, not as powerful as implied on infomercials
I received this as a gift after requesting it for Christmas and seeing it on the infomercials. I wanted it so I wouldn't have to use chemicals to clean the floor. I also wanted to try it on my shower which is covered with unremovable soap scum. I was ...

Pros: This is very easy to use and does sanitize your floors. Cons: A really "stuck" mess will require pre-scrubbing. It takes getting used to.
I did my research here at Epinions before purchasing this steam mop. I wanted something that was easy to use and did not require any chemicals. This mop does both. I work from home and am always either barefoot or in ...

Pros: It did a great job! Cons: It feels flimsy.
I used the Euro-Pro Shark Steam Mop for the first time to day. I was impressed on how clean the floor was after using it. The only drawback that I felt was a bit flimsy. I read most of the reviews and a lot of people felt it didn't clean the ...

Pros: cleans pretty well, easy to use, uses water, doesn't leave the floor sticky. Cons: Hoping it was the answer to a professional cleaning, was probably asking too much.
The problem: I have unsealed ceramic tile floors and very light grout. I also have two dogs, and two year old twins. The girls make messes, the dogs lick them up. I'm left with the lick-residue (gross!) and sticky floors with black grout. I tried the ...

Pros: Cleans well and disinfects, the pads are washable. Cons: Very weak handle, have to refill the water often.
I really love this mop, but be careful of the handle! My husband tried to mop the floor for me and the handle snapped in half! For the price you would expect a much sturdier handle. Overall, great mop, they just need to reinforce the handle. This does a ...

Pros: Uses water, distilled is best, but then I only got to use the mop twice. Cons: Euro-Pro does not honor their warranty.
The Shark Steam Mop is easy to assemble, light weight and easy to use. It takes up very little space, so storage is not a problem. My steam mop only worked 2 times and then quit. I called Euro-Pro since I only had the mop 2 months. ...

Liked It but it broke!
by crissys ,Jun 20 '08
Pros: Easy to use on hardwood - better than traditional mopping or swiffering Cons: poor construction leading to the product breaking after less than 3 months
We bought the Shark to clean the hardwood floors throughout our house. We really liked the way it performed and didn't leave a residue on the floor. However, after less than 3 months the handle snapped off and could not be fixed. We have emailed the manufacturer several times to try to resolve the issue and have not received a response.

Had great hopes for this steam mop!!!
by crissy650 ,Apr 29 '08
Pros: Easy to assemble, heats up quickly Cons: Small water reservoir; hard to push across as pads stick, flimsy handle
Hard to push across the floor, seems to stick at times with the rear of the pad lifting up as I push forward. Additionally, the pad seems to bunch up requiring frequent repositioning.
Kitchen floor is streaky. You have to vacuum before using or it just pushes the dirty black junk into a line (much like xxxbrand does).
Small water reservoir and measuring cup overflows the reservoir. It would be nice to have one a little bigger so you can do more at a time.

Best so far.....
by palmtreecarol ,Jan 30 '08
Pros: Lightweight, easy to use, long cord Cons: Water streaks but could be my water
I bought this product mainly for my bamboo hardwood floor. I found it very easy to use and it did a good job. It did not require near the physical effort of the Bono System.
I had read some negative reviews but did not have any of the problems that had been expressed. It is not meant to be a vacuum, why they call it that on this site, I do not know. You must vacuum beforehand, just as you would before using any mop. I was concerned about using water on my wood, however, it dries almost instantly. It did leave some water streaks which could be related to my hard water. I will try distilled water in the future.

Great little product that lives up to the ads
by pleasespamme ,Jul 21 '08
Pros: Works without chemicals, is light weight and heats up quickly. Cons: I would like an on off switch.
We got this to clean our Bruce hardwood floor without chemicals and it works great. This is evident when after cleaning you look at the washable pad. It will be filthy. Cleans up the tough slobber spots that my dog likes to drool all over as well. If there is a tough spot, one just needs to use some elbow grease. This takes a lot less time than using the Bruce hardwood cleaning product, doesn't leave a chemical smell and leaves behind nothing. Now I am not concerned when my dog puts his food on the floor and licks it up off of the bare floor instead of his food dish.
I have found it leaves no streaks on our hardwood flooring but our main concern is cleaning the floor without chemicals. So to be honest streaks, if there were any, would be a minor concern.
The mop heats up very quickly and is ready to use in about 30 seconds.
Comes with two washable pads.
is light weight
has an easy to fill water reservoir.
This product is an extreme time saver over getting down on your hands and knees with the spray product.

Pretty good
by phantomhawk ,Aug 10 '08
Pros: Very light weight. Cleans floors (tile) very clean and dry.
Cons: Feels a little flimsy and cost seems a little high.
Does a pretty good job on our tile floors. Not quite as good on grout lines as we would like but neither does any other cleaner we have used. Best thing is that there is no residue left on the floor. It does seem a bit flimsy but so far no problems. You will definitely want to order more mop pads if you have a large space to clean. We have not tried the carpet attachment and not sure we will.
