Pros: Lightweight canister vacuum, good power, HEPA filter. Cons: Won't hold much dirt, runs somewhat hot.
The Ultra Big Shark has a somewhat weird name, and it doesn't look like most vacuums either. However, it certainly works well as a unit that's somewhere in between a Dustbuster sized unit and a full sized vacuum. Other reviewers say that it won't replace...
Pros: Cheap, light weight (3.6 lbs.), has good suction Cons: Can't pack everything back into the box.
This model of the Euro-Pro Shark series is only available through Sears stores. This is the Ultra Big Shark Turbo Hand Vac Model HV166. How does it compare to other Euro-Pro Shark models?

Pros: Super powerful, compact, attractive, good attachments, good design, cordless! Cons: Loud! Small cup, must clean after each use.
I have updated this review and added a new Shark Vacuum review July 26, 2003.
This is the positive, this is also the experience of 3 friends who got one at my recommendation. At the bottom of this review I have added some CONS, after a longer...
Pros: Vacuumed very efficiently for three years; handy attachments and long power cord Cons: Loud, runs hot, small canister, power switch eventually broke
We used to have a 1000 square foot house, and this vacuum was all we needed. Granted, I spent a bit of time crawling around the one carpeted room, and things got a little hairy (literally and figuratively) during our dog's shedding seasons, but it ...
Pros: Suction power, nice attachments, not noisy Cons: Emptying bag
I purchased my Euro Pro Shark Cleaner about, um, about a year ago and I've only used it several times. (I've got lots of vacuums!) But none the less, this cleaner is great for small jobs. Originally, I bought this to clean my car. It cleaned my car wo ...
Pros: small but powerful, lightweight, easy to use, multiple attachments Cons: gets hot fast, doesn't hold much dirt, somewhat jerky
The Shark claims to be "lightweight and powerful" and I certainly won't argue with that. It also claims to have the "same suction as a full size vac" which, I think, needs to be qualified: The Shark is powerful until its miniscule dirt cup overfloweth, ...
Pros: portable, STRONG, lots of accessories Cons: If it could pick up wet stuff, I'd have one in every room!
I'm one of those people who rarely buys ANYTHING on an impulse. Even when I do manage to buy something like that, I'm apt to return it. I made an exception for this guy because he's just SO cute! We were out shopping at one of those home stores with ...
Pros: Price, Attachments Cons: Suction Power, Dust Cup
Was initially excited to have purchased this product, based on past failures of competitors. However, after a couple of uses, I became very disappointed with it's ability to "pick up" dirt and debris. They, (Euro-Pro) may show in their advertisements...
Pros: lots of attachments Cons: clogs constantly very very annoying
clogs constantly. I have 3 dogs and vaccum daily. it would clog every time I used it to get dust bunnies.. it seems the hole used to suck things up is larger than the hole on the machine so when it got smaller at that end, it just jams up, and there is...
Pros: Size Cons: Suddenly dies after minimal use. Runs extremely hot.
I purchased this on sale a few years ago for about $25. I was attracted to its size, extra-long cord and accompanying tool set with hose. I used it a maximum of three times for a few minutes each time and then put in the closet where it sat unused ...
I asked for a Dustbuster for my birthday. My kids went out and purchased "Sharkie". I was pretty excited seeing the attachments and all. After charging it for the required 16-20 hours, it was DEAD. So, realizing that stuff happens, I returned it and...
Euro-Pro Shark EP033--not great by nobsinmi ,Mar 20 '04
Pros: light weight, easy to use--comfortable toggle switch Cons: THE CORD!!!, easy clogging attachments
This model is the corded model which is significantly inconvenient. I bought it for light jobs and dusting, but the cord REALLY slows this down. The suction is fine for small jobs, but the brush attachments clog very easily, and are not easy to clean.
Pros: lightweight, lots of power, carrying strap and handle Cons: tends to run hot
Yes, the vacuum does run hot. I bought this vacuum specifically for cleaning my car. The deal i got at a reconditioned store was exceptional. Quite frankly, i didn't know what to expect, but decided to try it. This vacuum is extremely powerful. Very loud with crevice tool attached. I really like the shoulder carrying strap and handle. But when the vacuum is on your shoulder, you will definitely feel that hot air blowing around. It's lightweight and extremely easy to hang up in the garage. I'm very glad i bought it.
I have had this vacuum for 2 years with no problems. It is very powerful and can pick up most things. The 2 dusting brushes are very useful. I mostly use it in the car, but I find it needs a bigger dust cup. The hose sometimes gets clogged.
I had this Shark 700... by jimmyg_dt3000 ,Jan 13 '03
I had this Shark 700 Watt Modle EP033 for approximately three months. I used the machine a maximum fifteen times. I purchased the product in October, 2002. On January 9, 2003, when I tried to use the vacuum, it ran for a short time then quit. I checked the supply voltage, checked for loose wiring; the machine is still dead. It appears the circuit is open somewhere. I did run the machine 7 or 8 minutes straight before it quit running. The unit was quite warm, but didn't seem hot enough to damage anything. Until the vacuum suddenly quit running, I had no complaints with its performance, and was very pleased with the convenience of a handheld vacuum. I still have the box it came in, but I have misplaced the paperwork.
