Pros: We are finding this gate to work great for out puppy needs. Cons: There are no cons that we have found.
In life you will find as a mother that there are more ways to have children. Of course there is the old fashion way, which I think most everyone knows how that works and then there is the Pet way. To be specific, the puppy way! And when a new puppy ...
In the neverending battle, which I will win because I am the adult, in bathroom training with our new puppy, I resorted to the standby, a gate to prevent the puppy from entering the living room unattended. Although this is designed for child ...
Pros: Sturdy and durable Cons: Somewhat difficult to use
♫..."Don't fence me in"...♫ Every now and then toddlers need taming, for this, I prefer to use safety gates. Dangerous stairways, bedroom doors, my 2 year old playing "kitchen" in the real kitchen at 3:00 AM... For us, ...
Pros: Adaptable, movable, and an easy fit Cons: Difficult for short adults (like me) to climb
Who taught my Grand daughter to walk upstairs? Sheesh! she could barely walk and she was climbing stairs unfortunately she cant quite climb down the stairs not to mention the fact that our upstairs is not baby proof. We had a Evenflo ...
Pros: Inexpensive, no assembly required, effective for non-climbing toddler. Cons: Not the easiest to install, doesn't fit on uneven surfaces.
Little Miss Abby has changed quite a bit since I last wrote a review! She's now a ripe old 14 months and toddling around like a mad woman! Abby has always been the curious type, so once she became mobile... well... lets just say those unwanted extra...

Buying this baby gate was a lesson in paying attention when you are researching products on epinions.com!
I had looked through the reviews for several baby gates on several different occasions and had my choices narrowed down.
Unfortunately,...
Pros: Secure and economical. Work better than other gates I've tried. Cons: Wear out quickly, climbable, can be awkward to position, can damage walls & trim.
I have used the Evenflo Position & Lock Gate 202 since our first born, a three-month old beagle. We had to keep him in the kitchen while he was being paper-trained. Fantastic for that use, and economical as well. About a year later, our boy was ...
Pros: None that I can see. Cons: Flimsy, Splinters, Falls over, doesn't lock into place well.
I really cannot believe i spent my money on this. Right after getting it home I quickly figured out why this was the only type of baby gate left at the store I got it from. My daughter is only 11 months old, but has been able to pull herself up along ...

I bought this safety gate when my son was about 10 months old. We live in a small apartment that has no stairs, so I figured a cheap safety gate would keep him out of trouble. It did for a while, but then he figured out how to climb over it. Also, ...
Pros: Probably fits some doorways in some people's houses . . . Cons: Many.
This gate was a waste of money, if just a little bit of money. In theory, you can pull the gate apart to widen it, but in order to shorten it, you have to lift the locking mechanism. The lock falls into place every half-inch. In practice, well . . ....
Pros: one of the cheaper gates Cons: hard to lock, does not work good

The Gate....
It's made of real wood, has plastic stoppers at the end to grip itself into the doorways. It stands 24" tall and expands from 26" to 42" wide. Is used for ages 6 months to 24 months. Has a plastic mesh that is criss-crossed closely enough to not things through the holes.
My problems...
The stoppers don't grip hard enough to the walls. So if your toddler decides to lean on it, it can slip causing your child to fall with it. It CONSTANTLY comes off the track if you arn't careful undoing the gate.
