Pros: Good Price, Good Quality Cons: Performs as well as any of them
Whiskey means water of life. aqua vitae, from the Latin Bourbon is the all-American drink. It is as American as apple pie and almost as popular. When Americans moved across the mountains following the Revolution, they found ...

Pros: Excellent Price, very clean, very straightforward and effective Bourbon. Cons: Nothing overwhelmingly distinctive about the flavor.
Whenever I go to the liquor store to purchase alcohol, I usually try to pick out a new bourbon, something I haven't tried before. I'm not wealthy enough to go for the single-barrel stuff, or any of those bottles that come packaged in their own wooden ...

Pros: -Cost
-Mixing
-45% alcohol (a more traditional bourbon)
-Unlockable aroma with water Cons: -Your snooty friends will hate it
-Slightly harsh
-Lacks total refinement
Ezra Brooks sits in the middle of the shelf between whatever your local rotgut whiskey happens to be (in my area it's Broker's and Monarch) and the top shelf (Maker's, Knob Creek, various others made in small batches). Ezra outclasses everything else ...

Pros: Quite cheap - very drinkable for a session bourbon Cons: Strong - unrefined as a bourbon compared to many others
Ezra Brooks Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey. For some reason, the name just sounds cool. I saw it on the liquor store shelf in green and black labels, and I thought how appropriate the name "Ezra Brooks" sounded for hard liquor. Too bad this...

Pros: Great flavor, moderately priced, well aged, overall good quality. Great with water and ice. Cons: Strongish flavor probably unsuitable for mixing with cola. So good you might drink too much.
Get yourself a tumbler, toss in a hefty shot of this fine Kentucky bourbon, add four ice cubes, and top it up with water. The result is a wonderful tasting drink that is perfect for sipping. It results in a slightly sweet drink with no harshness, and has ...

Pros: 90 proof, solid bourbon flavor, excellent value, competes with much more expensive bourbons Cons: A little harsh, not at its best neat, can be difficult to find.
I think I may just have a soft spot in my heart for this bourbon because I used to drink a lot of it in my college days when it was a decent bourbon that I could afford. While I've moved up in the world, to a certain extent, I still generally keep Ezra ...

Pros: Price, flavor and the cork is a nice touch. Cons: None
I must admit that I prefer Makers Mark to Ezra Books. Now that the truth is out I will continue with my review. The first point that should be made is price. A 750ML bottle of Ezra can be found for less than nine dollars. Many Bourbons of far less...

Pros: Flavor and quality Cons: Finish is a little harsh for 90 proof
Well....not really. But now that I’ve got you hear let me tell you about this fine bourbon.
Ezra Brooks has deep caramel color that gives you a prelude to its fine flavor and finish.
Ezra’s flavor is deep and has more substance...

Pros: Price is right . Good flavor. No strong aftertaste. Cons: Just a little harshness when taken straight.
I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination, but Ezra Brooks Bourbon tastes good to me. It is a tad harsh when drunk neat, but at this price ($18 for 1.75 liter) it compares well with Evan Williams, another ...

Pros: High quality to price ratio
Cons: It tastes bad
This isn't the greatest, but for the money, it is. You get a cork, too, which always makes you look high class, even when you are puking in somebody else's bushes. Get a liter for about 11 bucks...can't beat that. And it tastes better than heaven hill or...

Pros: Well...let's see....I'm still thinking. Cons: Let my dog sniff it and he bit me.
Bad stuff. No need to read any further if you don't want to. I am a Bourbon drinker. I drink it straight the way it is meant to be enjoyed.
Ezra Brooks is just plain bad. Smell it and you will think you got it from a pharmacy. It would make...

Pros: Low price Cons: One of the Worst tasting bourbons.
I'm a big bourbon drinker. Bourbon is the only style of whiskey I will drink. And I've tried very many different brands.
Ezra Brooks is a lower priced bourbon.......not the cheapest, but in the top 10 of the cheapest priced.
It's...

Amazing whiskey for the price
by alexa5577 ,Jan 31 '07
Pros: Price, proof, taste, bottle, even the name's kinda cool. Cons: Their web site is still under construction.
A friend of mine turned me on to Ezra Brooks, I have been a Jack man since I was a kid, and had started drinking Gentleman Jack about five years ago. I love a good whiskey and I must say that Ezra is an extremely under priced selection, my local liquor store sells it for $10 a fifth. I have to say I was skeptical at first, but after my first sip I was hooked, the taste was tremendous, smooth with just a hint of burn. It's great on the rocks, or as a mixer, plus the cork makes me feel like I'm in an old west saloon.

Same Taste for $10 Less
by vapigfarmer ,May 25 '04
Pros: Carmel flavor, good color, great value Cons: Causes intoxication when imbibed to excess
I'm a Wild Turkey 101 fan but discovered Ezra Brooks when I went looking for something a little out of the ordinary. When I saw the price I was sold.
Don't get me wrong. I'm all for spending money to get top-shelf liquor and never waste time on the cheap stuff. But somehow E.B. got the cajones to buck the trend of the big conglomerate manufacturers and charge a fair price so a working man can have a sip of something decent at the end of the day. Everyone knows that bourbon is just corn squeezins, clean water, and a little bit of love. Despite this, it is usually overpriced, overtaxed, disrespected, and given no bit of the esteemed place on the trophy wall of American history it deserves.
My stomach lining may be thin as the wing of a chickfly in mating season, but Ezra Brooks is about as good a tonic as a body could wish for. I can already hear the squeak of the cork callin my name...
