Pros: Works very well Cons: Extremely heavy. Way too loud to use early or late in the day.
When a friend of mine bought a shredder several years ago, I mocked him. There are medications for people who worry that the FBI sifts through their trash to steal old utility bills, I told him. Bored megalomaniacs may have been the target market ...
Pros: works well Cons: basket wiggles out of place
A couple of months ago, I said- hey, go get a paper shredder ours is dead and it's not under warranty anymore and the little extra protection we bought through Office Max was expired too. So, that's how I ended up with Fellowes Powershred PS-77Cs ...
Pros: Not too heavy when throwing it into the dumpster... Cons: Too many for 15 word max...
I am not going to waste time or space writing the specs of this shredder, as you can read them in other reviews, who actually LIKE the product. If you can't already tell, this shredder is not my favorite. For the first few weeks, the shredder worked ...
Pros: Fast, heavy-duty, doesn't require the removal of staples Cons: HEAVY unit, have to use attached bin
We purchased this shredder two months ago. Before this one, we had a small, two-sheet capacity one that often overloaded after only a few sheets. As our company has grown, so has our need to destroy old documents. The nicest thing I can say about ...
Pros: very heavy cutting head Cons: cheap plastic collection bin will not hold up to continued use
I ordered a Fellows Powershred PS-77Cs and it arrived with a broken collection bin. The bin that collects the cut paper is a two piece plastic bin that has the two halves screwed together. The two plastic halves are made of too thin plastic and the screws and plastic cannot accommodate the stress as the bin flexes. As a result, the screws and plastic break apart and the bin breaks into two halves and falls apart. I ordered a replacement for the first shredder and when the second arrived, it was also broken in the same manner. Since the product could not survive shipping, I gave up on this item. It has a too cheaply built plastic bin to survive continued use, if you can get one that is not already broken. Perhaps these bins are just more Chinese junk? Fellows used to make good stuff, perhaps they just goofed on the design. A one piece bin would solve the problem.
