Pros: relive the classics, many new and interesting features, updated graphics and sound Cons: very dated, not the best Final Fantasies
Imagine a connoisseur of fine wine whose guilty pleasure is taking a trip to their local liquor store ("package store" or "packie" as it's named here) and picking up a bottle of Arbor Mist. That's the way you can describe me when it comes to role playing ...
Pros: Nostalgia, Updated Graphics, Terrific Sound Cons: No Final Fantasy III, Both Games on Same Disc
Everything has to start somewhere, but things aren't always peachy in the beginning. This can be proven by taking a gander at the original Grand Theft Auto game for Playstation; the game didn't actually generate much attention, and I'm sure that sales ref ...
Pros: Being able to see the origins of a great franchise, simple gameplay can be good Cons: Heavily outdated, lacking drive in story or characterization
The Final Fantasy series has proven to be one of gaming’s most revered and successful franchises, and one that has managed to stay the course despite 12 releases over 17 years. From its humble beginnings on the NES, at a time when Square was nearly out ...
Pros: Playing Final Fantasy again like it's 1987! Cons: Outdated stuff might turn some people off.
You thought the Nintendo Entertainment System was dead and buried with all of its classic line of games, didn't you?! You're probably sitting there, twiddling your thumbs, waiting for the next brand-spanking-new top-of-the-line Halo release to come along ...
Pros: Graphics and sound improved drastically, I grew up on this Cons: Nostalgia clouds everything
As anyone who knows me can attest, I've been a huge fan of Final Fantasy since before the first game came out. I first saw it at the Nintendo World Championships, Philadelphia division, in 1989. I got it for my birthday, which was about two weeks after...
Pros: two classic games, FF1 is great Cons: Wonky battle system in FF2
While I didn’t get into Final Fantasy back in the day of the NES, mainly because I wouldn’t have enjoyed it, I thought Super Mario Bros was an incredibly deep game at the time. But now that I have gotten into the Final Fantasy on the play station when I ...
Pros: Exposes new players to the first two Final Fantasies - Both excellent games. Cons: Diddly.
Ah, how we have come full circle.
I remember playing the original Final Fantasy (FF1) back on the NES for hours and days and weeks. Even with its capacity to save only one game, it's goofy and cryptic translation from Japanese, and the...
Pros: 3 words. final fantasy II Cons: i wish there were more unlockable CG's like in FF Chronicals.
Final Fantasy, these words instill a lot of emotion in your average console RPG player. Those 2 words coupled together bring together memories of epic battles, emotional scenes played out before your eyes better than any movie script written, hilarious mo ...

Here is my review of Final Fantasy I and II Final Fantasy I is an all time classic game in every way. It's just so diverse as it is compelling. The gameplay was truly fantastic but not 100% developed yet it is still fascinating. The music in I is ...
An (optimistic) look back. by catguard ,Nov 13 '05
Pros: Final Fantasy is finally released in the united states. Cons: I would have preferred the option of playing it the way it was originally.
I have been a Final Fantasy fan from the beginning. It was the first Nintendo game I ever played. By todayˇ¦s gaming standards, the original Nintendo version is one-dimensional. Final Fantasy VII introduced many Final Fantasy fans to the series. After my friends had played the 3-D Final Fantasies, the 8-Bit original paled in comparison.
The improvements made to this version and the inclusion of the second game makes it a worthy play if you are a Final Fantasy fan. And if you are interested in seeing where the games have come from.
Pros: Two games for the price of one!
Unlocable features! Cons: Nothing!!!
Square has brought back 2 of the greatest RPGs ever made! Dont sweat it if you dont have the NES, all you need is a Playstation 1 and a craving for Final Fantasy. Also the PS version has new great features like the memo files so you can temporary save a file before a dungeon or a boss fight. It has a new easy mode for begining RPGers, and Unlock-able features, such as the Art Gallery and more!
Ever want to know what started the Final Fantasy phenomenon? Now's your chance to play the original "Final Fantasy" (released in North America in 19...More at VideoGameAll
