Ok, so my husband and I finally got to see this movie last week-end, and we're still talking about it! (usually we forget about the movie a few days after we've seen it).
At first I was reluctant to see Fireproof, since the cast wasn't all that great (most of the actors are members of the church the movie was filmed by), but the point of the movie is so great that in the end - the cast didn't even matter.
You will not be able to leave/divorce your spouse after watching this movie! It definitely makes you think twice.

Pros: Extremely moving and thought provoking. This movie is changing the lives of married couples everywhere.
Cons: some say the acting is poor, but honestly I did not notice it at all.

I don't want to give away any of the plot. But I will say that ANY married couple, ANY couple thinking about marriage, ANY person who is dating, or ANY person who is thinking about dating (guess that takes in just about everybody) should see this movie.
This movie is extremely powerful and moving. I found myself crying during many of the scenes (yes, even men cry).
The basic outline of the movie is of a married couple, who's marriage is falling apart. And thru proding from the husbands father, he finds that it only takes one person to change things and turn the marriage around to a healthy positive loving relationship. I am not saying it is easy, as the husband in this movie finds out. but with a dedication to God first, and to his wife second, he finds the secrets of what it takes to make a healthy, loving, strong marriage that lasts the test of time.
