Pros: Looks are great, stickers for the keys to learn the note names, songbook is included Cons: the sound quality could be better!
Intro: My husband and I were trying to give birthday ideas for my dad (grandpa!) for my son's first birthday. Since my dad and I both play the piano we thought that it would be neat if grandpa could give him a piano. I had looked at Fisher Price's Baby ...

Took It Back
by tiemmes ,Apr 09 '06
Pros: Classy looking. Cons: Not durable, poor sound quality in comparison with other pianos of its kind.
We received this as a gift from Nonna for our children. We took it back before we even let our daughter's play on it not once, but TWICE because the legs kept coming off. We thought that MAYBE because it was near Christmas time, the piano's we brought home were returns that were restocked instead of sent back to the manufacturer.
Regardless, if it was ONLY the 1st piano that was having problems, I might have a different opinion. Being that both had the same problem and came from different Toys 'R' Us stores (bought and exchanged at different locations), we decided NOT to get a 3rd one, and instead opted for a different piano exactly like this one, only in pink with a pretty blond on the front. ;]
One last note on this piano: while shopping for another one in its class, I actually played on them and noticed a HUGE difference in the sound quality. This one is poor comparatively, which is a surprise for me being that it is from First Act. I would have taken it back on the sound quality if it wasn't for the leg problem happening right out of the box.

Poor Sound, but fun for tots
by dillyjmc ,Dec 26 '04
Pros: Nice looking, elegant toy. Cons: Poor Sound
We purchased this piano as a gift for our one and four year old daughters. The piano has a lovely look and the size is just right for them.
Unfortunately, the sound quality is very poor. There is little differentiation between the key sounds. we bought this piano at TJ Maxx (discount store) for $80. There was no floor sample. Had we tried the piano, we would not have purchased it. Our four year old has shown a real interest in music and this is not going to improve her knowledge even in learning high verses low notes.
Nonetheless, they love this toy!
