Pros: Quality, workmanship & performance. Works exactly as advertised, a must have for any serious motorcyclist
Cons: No windproof or waterproof liner is available

Summary: You don't have to practice being miserable Comfort and protection on a motorcycle should be as important to the rider when selecting gear as when selecting a motorcycle. Reducing your risk of injury in an accident is as much a function of ... read more

Pros: Keeps you cool! Very light & comfortable. Available in Women's & Men's sizes.
Cons: It won't protect you like your leather but it's better than no protection at all.

Pros: Light. Keeps you cool. Looks, feels nice. Great value
Cons: May need to layer if conditions change. Must hand wash.

Summary: I just used the jacket on a two day Napa Valley area tour. The conditions I encountered varied from 55 degree coastal fog to 90 degree, dry inland temps. The jacket worked as advertised. In the hotter conditions I didn't feel the ... read more

Pros: Very light. Wind passes straight through. Cool. Swappable armour.
Cons: Not as good as full-on leathers.

Summary: Having moved from England to Salt Lake City, all my riding gear is setup for UK riding. My "summer" jacket is lined, padded, waterproof and windproof, and it's black. Not good when the temperature is getting up there and it's always sunny. So I ordered ... read more

Pros: Extremely comfortable, very high quality, double-stitched, heavier-duty than similar jackets
Cons: Armor is thin, jacket isn't quite tall enough for me.

Summary: I was in a local dealership the other day, shopping for fork oil, blue away, and a few other maintenence items, and on a whim I asked if they carried any mesh jackets in "fatass" sizes. They had a nice selection of jackets, but the only mesh jackets they ... read more

Pros: Good ventilation, light weight, good construction quality
    Cons: Lighter jacket=less protection.

Summary: I've had my Firstgear Mesh-Tex jacket for about a year now. I'm very pleased with it. The mesh weave is large enough to allow air flow but not large enough to make the jacket appear flimsy. It offers a good balance between air flow and protection. ... read more

Pros: Light, comfortable, cool, and will take a fair amount of abuse rolling down the road.
Cons: Rolled down freeway just once jacket is all scratched up and the zipper broken.

Summary: This jacket is light and cool and comfortable, all pluses in the summer time around south Texas. I can also state from personal experience that it will hold up to a good amount of road wear. I got hit by a car on the freeway and me and the jacket rolled

  • Firstgear Mesh-Tex Jacket Loose Fit All around

Pros: Blue is very bright lots of pockets
Cons: Padding is very loose and floppy. Fits a full size too big.

Summary: This jacket firsts a full size to big. I am 6' 180lbs, normally a L or XL, but I should have ordered a medium. The elbow pads are extremely loose and the wrist and waste straps do nothing for me, I also have about 2" of free play in the chest. The
