Pros: nice selection of music, 3 stages, twinkling stars, lots of baby appeal Cons: unstable on smooth surfaces and for beginning-to-stand infants
This was one of the toys I had on my baby registry. I didn’t have that many toy items, but I thought this sounded like a neat choice. It’s colorful, musical, and grows with your child. It sounded good then, and it’s been a pretty popular toy in our ...
Pros: Can play for 10 minutes with one touch, nice, non-annoying music, grows with child. Cons: Could sit better for tummy time, keys don't light up - only the stars.
This gym is awesome! It makes an excellent first toy for an infant and can even entertain older siblings. I did not really like it when I first saw it, but before I had my son I knew nothing. I wanted a Tiny Love Gymini. I had heard such great ...
Pros: long life span, sturdy, durable, many options Cons: background comes off, no interactive mode for older kids
I received this through Freecycle when my daughter was a toddler. It was missing the gym pieces but he was older so didn't need them. However Fisher Price has a wonderful, easy to use website for ordering replacement parts so I ...
Pros: Brightly Colored, Durable, Pleasant Music Cons: Hard to wipe around some stars, as they are very close to each other.
This is a very nice musical toy for our child. It has songs that it will play or he can make his own music. It's brightly colored & he loves to watch the stars light up all over as it lights up in rhythm with the music. It grows with your child. By ...
Pros: Fun! Great Music! Great Lights! Easy to maneuver! Cons: None really....
This gym is perfect for babies! I have had 3 activitiy gyms total between my 3 kids. The first two were okay and I used with my eldest who is now 10. But they didn't compare with my with this one that I got as a gift for my second child and saved to use ...
Pros: Auto shut off, volume control, nice music Cons: Doesn't store well, a bit bulky, not quick to change from stage to stage
We got this toy as a gift and a card that said "may this drive your mom and dad nuts!" We are not sorry to say that it does not! It is great that the toy has three stages; we are currently on stage 2. We used stage one until the time that my son was ...
Pros: Birth and up,long play time, encourages skills, easy assembly/disassembly,10 minutes of music, nice music Cons: volume may be a little loud
,My mother-in-law bought this toy for my four month old son for Christmas. I had been looking at it for awhile but didn't think he was old enough to play with it yet. The age limit is from birth and up. I wish I would have bought this gym a long time ...
Great musical toy for infants by jdtfdeq ,May 21 '04
Pros: light weight, easy assembly, fun, batteries included Cons: requires 3 C batteries
Three stage play gym. Stage one- lay and play; Stage two-sit and play; Stage three- stand and play piano.
My 4 month old daughter loves this gym. There are 5 colored (pink, yellow, green, blue, and purple)stars above the piano keys that light up as music plays. My daughter lays on the floor and can see the lights on the mirror as the music plays. The music is mostly classical with a twinkle twinkle little star as well. When she gets feisty enough she can hit or kick the toys that hang down. The toys are detachable and include a star, moon and sun.
We have not tried the other stages because she is not old enough yet. However, my four year old likes to play the piano part for his sister.
The gym was very easy to assemble. Click, click and you are done. It takes three C batteries. You need a Phillips screwdriver to remove/reinsert the battery door.
The gym features a high/low volume switch, a switch to change between the three different stages, and a mode switch to change from playing the music automatically and creating your own music. All very easy to figure out.
Pros: Everything. Fun bright colors, stars light up. All around great toy Cons: I wish it were a little easier to switch positions(from sitting to standing).
We received this as a gift and were sceptical at first. We pulled it out for the first time when my daughter was a couple months old and she loved it. She would lay there and try to kick the stars and get so excited when it played music and the stars lit up. Over the months we changed it so she could play sitting up and now we have it so she can play while standing. She plays with this toy more than any other toy she has. It is also the toy every other kid plays with when they come over...kids up to 5 years old. This is a great toy.
Great Musical Toy To Grow With by kailey210 ,Feb 25 '05
Pros: grows with child, stimulating for infants Cons: could not find any cons
We received this toy as a gift when our son was just born and he stills uses it 15 months later. This is a great toy that grows with your child. You will be able to use from birth to pre-school. As a young infant, you can place your child under the toy with the lights facing down at them. There are some drop down toys that the infant can pull on as well. The music stays playing and the piano lights go on. It is quite stimulating for an infant. As the child grows older, the piano transforms into different positions to suit the child's size. They can then start playing the piano themselves in both a sit down and stand up position. The music is quite pretty to listen to. My son loves to play the piano for himself while bouncing up and down.
Great Toy To Grow With Your Child! by montaukgirl ,Nov 29 '04
Pros: It grows with your child through each stage. Cons: There are no drawbacks to this toy!!
We bought this toy for my daughter when she was three months old and she still loves it at 16 months!! Unlike many toys that children quickly grow out of, this musical piano easily transforms to fit the stages of your child. Our daughter was mesmerized as a baby lying on her back and hitting the keys and dangling toys that light up and make noise. Once she was learning to sit up we easily changed the legs to create a low piano. It was perfect incentive to stay sitting up!! Now that our daughter is running to her toys, she stands up and puts on a concert for us in the upright position.
As other reviewers have mentioned, the music is nice to listen to. This piano is easy to change into each position simply by turning or removing the legs.
I am sure it will be a toy that will remain in our playroom for some time to come! We highly recommend it!!
