With our first child, we had Fisher Price's Ocean Wonders Aquarium Cradle Swing and loved it. Since I sold that off shortly after she stopped using it, we needed to buy a new one for our second child, born 3 years later. By this time, Fisher ...

Pros: Multiple options given depending on the mood of your baby. Cons: It goes through batteries pretty fast due to the daily use of the swing.
When I was pregnant with my third baby I knew I wanted a swing that swung side to side and front to back. I did not research swings but luckily I found one that fit our needs. Being that I live in a small town, I went down to Wal-Mart and bought the ...

Pros: PLUGS IN!!! Need I say more??? Swings both ways. Cons: The dial is really hard to grip, which makes it hard to turn on.
We really liked this swing when our baby was about 0 to 3 months old. Now that he's about 5 months old, he's kinda heavy for it. My biggest complaint is the ergonomic design on the speed dial. It is already hard to grip, and if your hands are wet you can forget it. So you find yourself pushing the dial so you can grip it easier, which causes the dial to stick! UGH! So now I am having a hard time turning it on or off! So that really bugs. But otherwise, it is great. Love the mobile. The music. The fact that it swings front to back or side to side is wonderful. And of course I can just plug it in and not have to worry about batteries. Woo hoo!
