Some Roll but no Rock

by chretiensucks , Sep 01 '04
Pros: Lightweight plastic construction, and inexpensive
Cons: Lightweight plastic construction, no rock, noisy and vibbbbrrraattting ride
At the time of this writing, our son is just over a year old. He’s squirmy, active, energetic, and most of all, he wants to go everywhere. Enter Fisher Price’s Rock Roll and Ride Trike. Theoretically it is a toy which can adapt to a growing ...

Not much Rock, Stroll , or Ride

by heres2u Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Sep 07 '04
Pros: Price, creative 3-in-one design
Cons: Youngsters have trouble reaching the peddles! It functions poorly as a rocker, stroller, and trike.
When I first saw the Fisher-Price Rock, Roll 'n Ride Trike XL I thought it was the perfect toy for a growing toddler. We originally bought this as a Christmas gift for our then 1 year old as we saw the potential for this toy to cover a lot of bases for ...

A Great Trike!!

by alisha_a , May 29 '03
Pros: Very fun for baby, easy to push baby, lightweight, foot rest
Cons: My 2 year old still can't reach the pedals, it's plastic, noisy on hard surfaces.
Information on the tricycle

This tricycle is for children ages 1 1/2 through 5 years old. It is made almost entirely of plastic. The only metal on it is the bolts. It has a purple body, red bar/handle, forks, and handle bars, black...

Needs to be improved, but is still fun for the child

by kfgecko Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Jun 14 '05
Pros: Rocker, rider, and push rider rolled into one
Cons: Hard to rock, pedals too far forward
At the time at the store, my toddler wasn’t even walking, but already liked to rock this toy. My wife and agreed we would buy it for her, liking the fact that it could be a rocker, a training tricycle, and a regular “big wheel” style ...

it just sits in the garage now

by ribbit2jen , Jul 09 '05
Pros: grows with your child
Cons: badly designed and built
We received this trike as a gift for our son when he was 2 years old. It was pretty easy to assemble. From the start, he wasn't interested in sitting on it. We had it in the first stage set up, which looks like a rocking horse. Eventually, he ...

Rock and Roll and Ride

by dfoer829 , Dec 05 '03
Pros: Attractive and can go quickly. Lots of fun when old enough to pedal.
Cons: Foot rest is not long enough. Pedals too far away from seat.
This tricycle has three different settings. First it is a rocking toy, then it converts into a tricycle that an adult can push. Finally, the handle the adult uses to push the child can be removed so the child can ride unaided. I have had mixed ...

Disappointing at Best

by sawah3 , Jan 03 '05
Pros: Versatile and grows with child; vibrant primary colors
Cons: Dangerous; useless for lightweights; lacking entertainment value
I really wanted my son to have a rocking horse, but my husband thought that it was impractical. So then I saw this which I thought would take care of the practicality issue as well as my desire for our child to have some type of rocking toy. This ...

A Rocking New Trike

by smlounsbury , Jan 21 '04
Pros: Easy Installation, My son LOVES it!
Cons: Instructions weren't 100% clear.
For Christmas this past year, my 15 month old received this trike from his grandparents. I had seen this trike at almost any store that sold larger baby items, so I was familiar with the design and brand. My son loves ride on toys, so it was a safe bet ...

Awesome TRIKE for a toddler!

by bablondie25 , Dec 20 '06
Pros: STURDY, FUN! Easy to manuever and convertible!GREAT CONCEPT!
Cons: NONE! Go get one!
This is great for pre-Big Wheels stages. My son was 1 year old when he recieved this...and I thought, "oh geez he's not going to play with that for like a year". Well, little did I know that he took a liking to it right away. The idea: The idea ...

A real Winner!

by AnnEliz5 , Apr 28 '05
Pros: Convertible options make it fun! Longer use!
Cons: Not a thing!
My daughter received this for her 1st birthday. We assembled it with the handle/rocker on it because at the time she was too young for foot to floor action. My daughter has the pink and lavender version of this bike. Assembly wasn't too difficult and ...

long term fun

by okung , Feb 16 '04
Pros: great toy for varying ages and stages of development, extremely lightweight.
Cons: difficult for small child to maneuver, effort for parent to maneuver. extremely lightweight.
My daughter received this as a gift at 15 months of age. Although she was larger for her age, she was not ready to use this even as a rocker. It is very lightweight and it just slid on the carpet when she tried to get herself on and off. We put it away ...

Ride on...
by deke13 ,Feb 06 '05
Pros: Adjustable seat for lots of growth.
Cons: Wish she could reach the pedals.
Great and easy to use. My daughter has been riding this since she was a year old. The drop-down bar was too far back for her long legs and they don't quite reach the pedals but she just pushes along, anyway. We use the push bar only to help her in case she loses her balance. She uses it as a rocker in front of the television and loves it. We are really happy with this toy.

Disappointing
by brendyh ,May 24 '05
Pros: easy to assemble
Cons: handle is too short, noisy, child can't reach pedals
The box states "x-tra long handle" So not true. I'm 5'5" - average height and I have to walk stooped over to push the trike. It is also noisy. My 2 yr old can't reach the pedals, even with the seat pushed all the way forward. But with all that said, my daughter does enjoy riding on it - I just end up with a back ache.

Sturdy fun for Children
by abiwork ,Feb 17 '04
Pros: Lightweight, easily accessible to a child
Cons: None yet!
My husband had no trouble putting it together - very little work involved. My son (at 11 months) immediately took to it in its "rock" formation. He was able to get on it without help since it is not too tall. The rocking base is long enough so that no matter how hard he rocks, he cannot pitch himself totally forward or backward, unlike some rocking horses and other toys I've encountered.

It is EXTREMELY easy to transform it from rocking to the roll/push stage, and the trike is light enough to lift and move it without difficulty. My son even enjoys pushing it around this way.

An excellent toy that he loves to play with, and appears to be holding up under a lot of "active boy" wear!
