Pros: A real energy saver, cloths ring out dry as a bone. Cons: High speed spin does cause cloths to wrinkle more.
Upon reading these reviews on here, I am somewhat amazed at how negative some of them are. How can some people have such a bad experience compared to others? One reviewer even saying their cloths were shredded? How did the machine do this I ask ...
Pros: Decreased gas bill for hot water and water bill. Cons: Lid locks once it is on and requires stopping to open it.
We purchased this washer a little over a year ago at Lowes and had only one slight problem with it. It turned out to be a safety pin with lint stuck in the diverter valve (I repaired it myself). This washer is a lot easier to repair than regular top ...
Pros: large capacity, stainless steel drum, preset wash cycles with overrides, 2 year warranty Cons: even though stability is good there is a slight rocking motion during spin cycle
I had to replace my 8 year old machine a month ago because the drum braking system was worn out. This washer is better than average and is top loading which saves hurting the back that is possible with the currently advertised, top of the line front ...
Pros: Energy efficient, Less drying time, all around great machine Cons: Plastic lid, no timed bleach dispenser, not much else
Fisher and Paykel washer Let me start by saying a little about myself. I have sold appliances for quite A while. Not only have I tried, but I also own many of the appliances I review. I also take service calls, so I hear which appliances have the ...
Pros: Customizable presets, powerful spin, good detergent distribution Cons: Spin noise - although this doesn't really bother us.
We purchased this washer in June 2006 as we knew we needed a good washer for the addition of baby laundry, including cloth diapers. This Fisher Paykel is Awesome! I don't rave about appliances often but this is by far the best washer I've ever used. We ...
Pros: energy efficient, not overly expensive, gets clothes nearly dry when finished. Cons: cheaper looking lid, but won't rust.
I bought my Fisher & Paykel washer in 2004 for $599. It has been wonderful. I have six people in my family including 4 playful children, who generate a lot of dirty clothing. This washer can handle the loads. I wash nearly every day and since purchasing ...
Pros: Huge stainless tub. Really cuts drying time due to spin technology. Very quiet. Cons: Wellwater pressure MAY be a problem. Fabric softener didn't dispense thru clothes like conventional machines.
I'm not sure I can give a fair review of the F&P GWL15 since I had problems 80% of the time I owned it. (only 8 weeks!) However, I want to encourage potential buyers who's water is supplied by a WELL SYSTEM with LESS than GOOD WATER PRESSURE to ...
Pros: High spin cycle. Large capacity. Cons: Needs self-leveling legs. Can only get "hot" cycle if you use permanent press cycle.
When our Kenmore dryer died on us after only 3 years I decided I needed to do some research before buying this time. We wanted the washer & dryer to match because they are on the main floor of our home so we bought this washer with the matching dryer. ...
Pros: Clothes spin nearly dry. Cons: Water and suds on the floor!
We have owned this Fischer & Paykel washer for 11 months. The F&P set replaced our Frigidaire front loader set which did not allow us to determine the water level used for washing. We like our laundry without detergent residue. We get clean laundry ...
Pros: Big compacity, good price, stainless steel tub, spins clothes really well. Cons: Electrical malfunction. It only likes powder soaps. Fabric softeners are not recommended.
After carefully researching all the washing machines and their reviews I decided to buy the Fisher and Paykel. I have had the washer since May of 2005. Today March 30,2008 it took a dive. It all started after I washed a fairly light load, then I smelled ...
Pros: Large capacity, manual override of automatic water level. Cons: Shreds clothing and towels, leaks water onto the floor.
My husband and I just purchased this machine in November of 2007 to replace a 2yr old Kenmore that had also given us problems. After countless hours of reading conflicting reviews for all of the washers available on the market today, we chose to go with ...
Pros: Came with five year parts warranty, eco friendly, easy to use. Cons: Breaks down easily, parts are hard to obtain.Few repairmen know how to service.
I have owned the Fisher and Paykel EcoSmart washer and dryer since July 2002. The dryer is a fairly reliable appliance; it has only needed to be serviced once in the time I have had it (the seal on the door needed to be replaced to keep lint from spewing ...
Pros: High speed spin cycle, cleans clothes very well. Cons: No separate bleach dispenser. Only three time delay options.
I purchased the Fisher Paykel approximately two months ago and I am very satisfied with this washer. It replaced my Maytag Neptune top loader (which I hated - very long wash cycles, twisted clothes, leaving clothes very wrinkled, did not clean clothes well). The Fisher Paykel cleans clothes very well. High speed spin cycle reduces drying time. The washing machine does what it suppose to - cleans clothes without damaging them. It is quiet and easy to use. I wish it had a separate bleach dispenser and more than three time delay options (1 hr, 3 hrs, and
9 hrs.)
Smart washing machine saves electric, water and time by kearsarger ,Feb 25 '08
Pros: The fast spin is awesome- my dry time is cut in half! Cons: none.
I love my new F & P EcoSmart Washer! It replaced a 22 year old GE that I was quite attached to. I bought the Fisher and Paykel because of the energy efficiency, the 2 year warranty (not the standard 1 year on all the other brands), and good word of mouth. I also like the direct drive concept where the less parts there are the fewer things that can go wrong. This is a washer that just makes sense. From everything I've experienced thus far I would suggest it to friends & family.
Pros: small in overall size but the drum is big Cons: This brand is not one that people know. Some people won't like the plastic lid.
I bought this machine for $509 at the Sears Outlet. It is so smart! The spin cycle saves a lot on the dryer time. I don't know what that means in energy dollars but it saves time for me. I have three kids and time savers are a must. I do several loads a day and I am looking forward to using this machine for a long time. It has "delay" cylcles just like my dishwasher. The lid lock is a great feature. It can wash comforters and sleeping bags with ease. The water softener feature is great. No more of those fabric softener containers!I can't wait to buy the dryer when mine goes out!
