Defective
by zasesq ,Jul 18 '09
Pros: Looks nice Cons: Not well made
I bought this washer and had it installed. The deliverymen turned it on and ran it through bits of a wash and spin cycle. They left and I went to work. I came home ready to wash and discovered the washer would not turn on. It had broken before I could use it. When the technician came the next day, he found that water had gotten into the electronic control panel through some hole too small to see.
The next day, they delivered another washer. This one turned on and I started a load of towels. About twenty minutes into the cycle, it was making horrendous noise. I found that the tub had become loose from its moorings and collapsed.
Needless to say, I am not a fan of Fisher and Paykel washing machines. After three days taking time off work to deal with this, I bought a GE frontloader that works great.

Out of Balance
by arnie123456 ,Oct 18 '09
Pros: When a load is completed without going out of balance the clothes are clean. Cons: With the need to constantly rearrange the load, figure 3 to 4 hours per load!
I've had this Fisher & Paykel "Aquasmart" machine for about six months. It's constantly going out of balance, which makes it stop and go "beep" "beep" forever. And it takes forever to get a load done...I have to constantly rearrange the bunched up load after it goes out of balance. Example: Two sheets and two pillow cases, carefully placed in a circle against the sides of the tub....goes out of balance! Forget about trying to wash heavier loads like bath towels, impossible to avoid going out of balance with something heavy like towels!! Numerous adjustments by the dealer have not solved the problem. I'd like to throw the machine in the trash! I do not recommend this make and model.
