Sport Kings Rule!!! Had 31x10.50. Just Bought 33x12.50. Second Set in 15 Years

by ericd79chevy , Feb 02 '05
Pros: Great Ride in all conditions, Wet/Dry/Snow/Sand/Mud. Tough 33x12.50 Stance for less than $400.
Cons: First set lasted 15 years, I would be disappointed if these didn't last that long.
Sport King's!!! Gotta love a tire that can take 15 years of punishment and come out smelling like a rose. I put 31x10.50x15 Sport Kings on my 79 Chevy 4x4 in 1990. I can't describe how well they performed in every situation since that time and now ...

CAVALIER Sport King A/T

by squid1210 , Feb 06 '03
Pros: Excellent offroad traction, works well in mud, water, sand/dirt. Onroad has impressive traction and handling.
Cons: slips sometimes on road when accelerating very quickly off line.
I have a 1996 Chevy Silverado 4X4 truck. My rear tires are Sport King A/T tires, and that is how I bought the truck. I have OE 245/75r16 on there now. I somewhat often go offroading at what few places are left near my house. The first time I really...

Cavalier or Sport King - same tires

by gammadriver , May 22 '03
Pros: high speed handling traction
Cons: none that I can find
(brief rewrite - first post lost)

Four 265/75/R15's came on my 1993 Ford F-150 when I bought it used. I don't think they sell that size anymore, but the 31x10.5x15 would be close.

I have Sport King A/T on the rear, Cavalier A/T on...

Sport King AT

by scooter3008 , Apr 17 '08
Pros: Excellent traction and directional stability in all conditions. Handles Southwest's extreme heat well.
Cons: None on the four sets currently in use on F-250s and F-450s.
These tires are in ranch and highway use on 2002 - 2007 F-250 and f-450 Crew Cab 4X4s used for towing up to about 12000 lbs and for all around use in hot dry climate with moderate winter snow and mud use. Trucks need to operate in all weather, ascend ...

For me, Sport King A/Ts = A monumentally dissatisfied customer.

by ezoozooone , Mar 22 '03
Pros: Honestly, given my experiences with this particular tire, I can't even think of ONE!
Cons: Manufacturer defects - Uneven tread wear - Split belts - Poor off-road traction…
Well, I came to own my first set of Sport King A/Ts out of pure necessity. --- In an emergency situation, I bought ONE Traction King A/T to replace a flat tire, and so began my abhorrent tire-related misadventures…

First up: The new Sport...

Bought My truck with a new set on- 4 1/2 years later I'm buying another set! Great tire overall- would definately recommend! Not sure why people complain about defects because mine lasted 4 1/2 years so far and they have never let me down/ nor worn unevenly with proper care

Great Tire
by leatherneck74 ,Nov 17 '05
Pros: Great Look and Great Price. Also excellent traction.
Cons: can't think of one.
I have owned sport king all terrains for most of the life of my 1986 F-250 4x4. And these tires have been great, both on and off road. I live in Utah where off-roading is famous. And these tires have never failed me. They have even helped me get out of some bad situations.

Great AT Tires for the Price
by kaf2996 ,May 11 '08
Pros: Great Tires. No Problem. I have loved these tires.
Cons: None
I have bought 4 new Tires replacing my worn out BFG AT. I have bought the same size 32x11.50x15 for my 2000 Dodge Durango. Tires run great and it does absorbed the bump road and the thread is great for On and Off Road. I am highly recommended to anyone who wants to get a new tires without spending a lot.I searched these tires online and when I saw it, I thought I would give it a try. I got mine for $110 a piece, not bad. I have very happy with it.

Prohawk
by prohawk ,Nov 30 '06
Pros: I would rate these tires with 5 stars!
Cons: I can't find anything bad about these tires!
I have gone through 3 vehicles using the Sport King tires.
I have had 2 replaced for defects but I have had super wear out of them.
My Jeep Scrambler went 165,000 on them and when I sold it,they were still going strong.
My 95 Chevy short bed 4x4 has 150,000 on them and my friend that owns it is still driving on them.
My 2000 GMC 4x4 has been all over the country, pulling a boat, and a camper and has never let me down in mud or sand.
I bought a set of Uniroyal off road tires that I could not pull my camper with because of sidewall flex and those were high dollar tires. I traded them back in for my trusty Sport King tires.
The place where I get my tires sell BF Goodrich and many other brands of good tires but I noticed that all the employees and the owners are running Sport Kings on their personal 4x4's.
The Sport King is the previous tread design of the BF Goodrich TA Radials. Same tire, different name.
