Best cardio machine I've ever used

by epinionateacom , May 03 '04
Pros: Great cardio workout, makes real exercise easy, built-in heart rate monitor.
Cons: Throw away the dreadful Tony Little videos and watch CNN or a movie instead.
Last year I discovered that I have a medical condition (super-high triglycerides) that among other things requires me to do cardiovascular exercise at least three times a week. We have a padded treadmill at home but I don't like using it -- it's boring ...

Pros: Fun,effective,no impact, quiet, and does not take up much room.
Cons: Not impressed with heart monitor. $414 is a bit high but would buy again.
I love this machine!! I received the gazelle edge for Christmas. I decided to upgrade to the gazelle freestyle elite (infomercial model) with the pistons so that I could get resistance if I wanted(3 Levels OR 4 if you count no resistance at all.) This ...

Great No Impact Cardio/Aerobic Workout!

by tracyadamp , Jun 28 '05
Pros: Fun, No Impact, Great Cardio Effectiveness
Cons: Sturdy Built so Heavy and Hard to Move
The Gazelle is, by far, the greatest piece of cardiovascular exercise equipment in the world, in my opinion. It is the best piece of home equipment I have ever tried. It is fun, no impact, different, effective, habit forming, not boring at all, tough ...

Exercise haters will love it

by mikoniko , Oct 25 '07
Pros: easy, quiet, quick workout, no sports bra needed, great for exercise haters/beginners
Cons: many banged shins when trying to move it due to the swinging foot pads
This product really does exactly what the commercials say. It is just as easy as it looks and in 10 minutes I am sweating and feel like I have had a workout. I like that I feel like I am stretching, warming up, exercising and cooling down all in one ...

$415 Gazelle Elite is great!

by ckb5 , Mar 27 '03
Pros: Finally a piece of equipment that is fun to use!
Cons: I wish the tapes came in DVD Form
I've wasted money on a lot of exercise machines that just didn't hold my interest-most just seemed to be tedious and lot of work with little to no results.

I've only had my Gazelle 4 days and I love it! The gliding motion is like running which...

The Gazelle is perfect for me!

by annsavage2 , Aug 10 '08
Pros: Easy for a novice to use, great lower body workout!
Cons: Though it doesn't work the upper body much, for some of us that's an advantage!
We've had the Tony Little Gazelle exercise machine for several years. My husband originally got it because he has bad knees (he eventually got a knee replacement) and he thought it would be a good low-impact workout option. He couldn't use it for ...

Gazelle Freestyle

by fosterman , Sep 13 '06
Pros: Good machine and you can start off slow and work your way up.
Cons: No problems at all. A little squeak sometimes, but WD-40 takes care of it.
I have the Gazelle Freestyle for about 18 months now. I use it 4-5 times a week, 20 minutes a workout. I really enjoy the machine. I watched the tape to get familiar with the different exercises Tony does. I started out slow (5 minutes per day) and ...

What Ever Possessed Her? Surprise, Not Too Bad So Far

by brianm_2 , Aug 28 '06
Pros: Easy to use, decent aerobic and toning exercise, low impact, inexpensive, easy to vary intensity.
Cons: Heavy to move, too easy to vary intensity, not true "whole body" machine, recurring squeaks.
We've had the Gazelle Freestyle Elite for about 4 weeks now. I'm reviewing this machine from the standpoint of currently being in my mid 50s. A former active mountain climber-ski mountaineer for 14 yrs of my early adult life. I didn't do much strength ...

An easy way to get a workout but ...

by veeves , Sep 27 '03
Pros: An easy way to get a good cardio-vascular workout.
Cons: It`s noisy and doesn`t move easily.
I have the version with the hydraulic units that look like shock absorbers. These allow you to increase the resistance and thus the level of the workout. I am easily able to get a good cardio-vascular workout in fifteen to twenty minutes using this ma ...

by nahla1 , May 21 '03

Pros: Decent workout. Fun to use. Quiet.
Cons: Big and heavy. Hard to move around. Need strength to put together.
I have had my Gazelle for about a month and enjoy working out on it. It may not give you the kind of workout you'd get at the gym but it is fine for getting a pretty decent workout at home. Mine came with the DVD which was extremely helpful - ...

Pros: 12 minute resistance workout is great!
Cons: Machine is not always quiet.
