You can hurt yourself!

by mozartjo , Jul 08 '07
Pros: I did like Tony's DVD and initially liked the workout.
Cons: Not worth crippling yourself! Nothing is!
The Gazelle Crosstrainer turned out to be a huge disappointment to me. First, I received a defective product. I had tried for over an hour to put the footpad on and finally I realized that the metal footpad holder had been tooled incorrectly. I ...

Gazelle Freestyle

by fosterman , Sep 13 '06
Pros: Good machine and you can start off slow and work your way up.
Cons: No problems at all. A little squeak sometimes, but WD-40 takes care of it.
I have the Gazelle Freestyle for about 18 months now. I use it 4-5 times a week, 20 minutes a workout. I really enjoy the machine. I watched the tape to get familiar with the different exercises Tony does. I started out slow (5 minutes per day) and ...

Best cardio machine I've ever used

by epinionateacom , May 03 '04
Pros: Great cardio workout, makes real exercise easy, built-in heart rate monitor.
Cons: Throw away the dreadful Tony Little videos and watch CNN or a movie instead.
Last year I discovered that I have a medical condition (super-high triglycerides) that among other things requires me to do cardiovascular exercise at least three times a week. We have a padded treadmill at home but I don't like using it -- it's boring ...

The Gazelle is perfect for me!

by annsavage2 , Aug 10 '08
Pros: Easy for a novice to use, great lower body workout!
Cons: Though it doesn't work the upper body much, for some of us that's an advantage!
We've had the Tony Little Gazelle exercise machine for several years. My husband originally got it because he has bad knees (he eventually got a knee replacement) and he thought it would be a good low-impact workout option. He couldn't use it for ...

High energy, low impact, workout that is kind to my knees

by nahla1 , May 21 '03
Pros: A high energy, low impact aerobic workout.
Cons: Weight which make it difficult to move.
The main reason I purchased my machine is because I wanted a high quality piece of equipment that would allow me to exercise in the privacy of my own home. I have high cholesterol and a family history of heart problems but also suffer have bad knees so I...

Gazelle Freestyle Elite

by glitter1459 , Oct 18 '03
Pros: Fast deliver time for the unit, lots of fun if it doesn't make noise.
Cons: Came damaged, parts did not work, time consuming to get new parts, Expensive.
I had a poor experience with this product. I purchased it about a month and a half ago and I received it a week after I purchased it. When it arrived the box was pretty beat up and one of the foot rests was cracked (but not to the extent that I could not ...

Love the Gazelle when it doesn't make noise

by auburnlocks , Apr 23 '03
Pros: 12 minute resistance workout is great!
Cons: Machine is not always quiet.
I love my gazelle freestyle elite and use it every day. I enjoy rotating the total body and lower body tapes. I also like to throw in the 12 minute resistance workout which you really feel working. I always use the tapes when I work out for the music,...

I LOVE IT!!
by jennyannk73 ,Apr 06 '07
Pros: Inexpensive, fun, good workout for beginner or intermediate exercisers.
Cons: Have not found any yet.
I just got my gazelle a week ago, have spent about 30 min per night watching TV and having a great time on this! In just one week, i've lost 5 lbs, but most importantly can see a noticeable difference in muscle tone. I have not changed my diet or anything else-- just added this to my routine. It's fun! It's easy, even for those out of shape. Yes, you sweat, and you might get just a teensy bit sore for the first day or so, but if you push past this, it works great. This machine is sturdy, stable and a great purchase. Highly recommended.

Gazelle Freestyle Elite
by rachwes ,Nov 20 '04
Pros: Good low impact workout , Fun activity
Cons: The machine does squeak a bit at times , Not easy to move around
I saw the infomercials on TV for a few years , so I finally decided to order one. I'm glad that I did. The workout is actually fun and it doesn't feel like work , but I can feel the effects the next day. I get a good cardio workout and I feel like I am getting more toned.

I LOVE the Gazelle
by nodaisey ,Mar 26 '05
Pros: The Gazelle is a sturdy piece of equipment that offers a silent, low impact workout.
Cons: I would like to see a model offered with more customizable resistance.
I've been a dedicated treadmill runner for 20 years...my knees now testify to that fact. I had to find a low impact alternative to running in order to maintain my level of fitness.

I disliked working out on elliptical trainers. It was something about the unnatural gait they force upon the user that frustrated me.

I bought the Gazelle with pistons and am happy to say that I am enjoying my workouts more than ever. It's very quiet and I love the range of motion offered.

To those who can't get their heart rate up using the Gazelle I would say "You aren't trying." Walking speed on a treadmill doesn't elevate my heart rate either.

EXCELLENT MACHINE
by wolfotter ,Feb 10 '04
Pros: Excellent for low impact. Very fun to use!!! Not boring at all!
Cons: Assembly can be a beast for one person. No manual just a DVD or Video.
I just received my Freestyle Elite today!!! I was REALLY impressed!!! Ordering it wasn't a problem at all. Very friendly service. I even ordered a refurbished unit! Excellent condition! I have a spinal injury that makes walking very difficult and painful. Going to a gym is not an option for me. But I am overweight and need some kind of exercise to lose the fat! This machine is a dream. It's very easy to learn and very easy to use. While it is very low impact, you will work up a sweat! Now, before my accident I was a Body Builder for many, many years,so I will tell you, you won't get the workout that you would in a gym with all of the other machines and free weights... but you will get a good overall body toning and shaping. And for some of us that's better than nothing. We have to begin somewhere!!! I really am enjoying my Freestyle Elite. I am looking forward to losing the weight that I have put on since my accident by using this machine and a sensible diet!

heavy and awkward
by lisapatteson ,Apr 20 '09
Pros: it's not a pack of wild dogs.
Cons: HEAVY.  AWKWARD.  DANGEROUS.  HARD TO ASSEMBLE. NOT WORTH THE EFFORT. NOT WORTH THE PRICE.  JUNK.
this piece of equipment is heavy and awkward.  it took me two hours to assemble it, and the instructions are not very clear at times.  once i got it put together, i realized that it was VERY hard to fold up and move to an acceptable storage place.  when you try to fold it up, the wheels keep on rolling and you have to chase it across the floor to get it folded up.  once folded up, when you try to roll it to the storage location, the foot pedals (which are also very heavy) swing back and forth and knock the heck out of your shins.  once you lean it up against the wall, the wheels again must roll, so you have to put something in from of them from keeping it from rolling away from the wall and falling down.  i wish i had read epinions first.  this is the worst piece of equipment i have ever owned.  i ordered it from HSN.  i will never order another tony little product, and i may never order again from HSN
