Pros: Simple to use; good for the beginner; inexpensive. Cons: Too simple; no resistance; very light.
Back in March I reviewed Tony Littles Gazelle Freestyle Elite. During our travels this summer when I saw Tony Littles Gazelle Edge Glider made by Fitness Quest I was anxious to compare the two. This was ...
Pros: Folds, inexpensive, no motor to maintain, easy to set up Cons: No heartrate monitor, can't lock in folded position
I normally would work out at a gym or outside, but can't for three reasons: 1. It's winter in Minnesota (where I live), which means it's REALLY cold outside 2. I was in a bad car accident (rear-ended by a truck) and am doing physical therapy 3. I'm ...
Pros: Easy to use, compact, variable intensities, gentle on the knees, and can be very fun! Cons: Added monitor was flimsy, can begin to squeak after a while
My husband has Degenerative Joint Disorder (DJD) in his knee. He had surgery in 2002 to help the situation, but the DJD would continue to be an issue for him. To add salt to the wound as they say, he also serves in the US Army, where physical fitness ...
Pros: Fun to use,low impact, easy to assemble and easy to store. Cons: None really. The monitor I think is useless,
I have always tried to keep in shape. I've had a gym membership years ago,as well as an exercise machine I really liked. I had to get rid of it because I moved and, this machine had to be attached to a wall. As the years went by,I'd somewhat fallen ...
Pros: Lots of variety, easy to use, low-impact Cons: Heavy (has wheels)
I bought my Gazelle used, so I can't say anything about the set-up, but after a month of using it everyday, I am very pleased with the workout it gives me. Mine came with a set of three VHS tapes, two for the Gazelle and one an ab workout. I didn't use ...
Pros: Gentle on the body, isn't a really hard workout, smooth gliding Cons: Boring to use, noisy, must use it a while to get any sort of workout.
I'm 15 years old and started using this after my mom bought it for less than $100 at a department store. When I first tried it out I didn't like it much; it gave me a weird feeling and felt awkward, like my legs were being pulled too far apart. After I ...
Pros: PRICE, EASY STORAGE, EASY INSTALLATION, GOOD WORKOUT, LACK OF NOISE Cons: NO CUP HOLDER
I own a treadmill and used it off and on for a while. When I had finally gained way too much weight I started using it almost daily for about year and lost more than 40 pounds. Well, of course, I have stopped using the treadmill for a couple months and ...
Pros: Great low-medium impact workout, good price. Cons: Tends to squeak after continued use (see review).
I begged my husband to purchase the Gazelle Edge for me as a Valentines present in 2004. We put it together and I did the workout on it for approximately two weeks when I began to get dizzy and found out I was pregnant. So, it sat in a closet until we ...
Pros: Price, Fun, Quiet enough for TV/Music Cons: Frame could be more sturdy - a few squeaks
I have been very inactive for several years, and have put on over 30 pounds on a 5'4" frame & most recently purchased a treadmill that until I moved it out of the house a week ago (when the Gazelle Edge arrived)was simply collecting dust. I will admit ...
Pros: Fun! Time goes by quick Cons: Large to leave out in Living Room
I bought this model because I had tried it at my brother-in law's house and it seemed fairly easy to use. Kmart was the only store in town that had any gazelle so I bought the edge model. It does not bother my knees like treadmills or stairs. I actually...
Pros: It is convenient, easy to store, easy workout. Cons: It has NO RESISTANCE TO IT!
I bought the Gazelle Edge because of the online reviews. I got it at Target (from their online website).
Likes: It stretches me well. It has a good "hip abductor" exercise to it; If you turn to the side and spread legs out, you get a pretty good workout. It is easy. Set up is easy. It stores nicely. It's convenient and takes up little space. It is inexpensive. Good on the knees.
Dislikes: Wish it came with workout DVD's. Tony Little can be a bit annoying, though. One thing I thought it came with, but DID NOT, was resistance. I feel like I DO NOT get a good workout, because my heartrate does not go up with this because it has no resisitance. It takes awhile to figure out the "correct stride". You have to weigh under 250 lbs, so if you are a big guy or something that would be hard.
Pros: good for beginners Cons: not worth the money.Exercise but no result.
This equipment didn't work for me at all. This is ONLY good for beginners, some kind for people who can't exercise because of health issues. But still need to do some work out. There is no resistance at all, just swinging in a air. I tried to exercise for 1 week but my muscles didn't even sore. Also calorie monitor does not work properly.
Pros: ease of assembly, light weight, folds up for storage, low price Cons: no resistance
We just purchased our gazelle edge this week from our local "big box" for $75.00 + tax. (on clearance). easy to assemble, and easy to use. Quality is what one should expect for a machine of this price. The workout is as intense as the user makes it and the low impact is really nice on the joints. The best part is that we can get a good cardio workout in about 30 minutes without ever leaving the house. Durability remains to be seen, as this is a new purchase, but, so far so good.
