Pros: fast, easy to use, doesn't get gummed up, no odd taste
Cons: heavier than plastic, lid doesn't come off, expensive
I've used several cordless kettles in my life and by the time my last one died I was quite clear on what I wanted:
1) an enclosed element that wouldn't get gummed up
2) a metal body that wouldn't bleed chemicals into
3) a way to measure how much water I'd put in
4) a cordless one where I wouldn't have to worry about getting the wiring wet when I filled or cleaned it
This kettle does all that and is also easy to use one handed, comparatively easy to clean inside, and generally a joy to use. I've had mine for over two years now and used it more than daily and it's held up wonderfully.
The only negatives that I can see is that because it is large and metal, it's relatively heavy, especially if filled most of the way up. Also the lid doesn't come all the way off which if you are using for other than simply heating water might be an issue (it's large enough that I can see folks using it for doing things like boiling eggs, heating soup, etc.)
