    Pros: Light weight and inexpensive and does the job.
    Cons: This will do the job for now but will not last forever.

  • Fotec and Simer - Not in the long run.

    Pros: Lightweight and worked flawlessly for 3+ years.
    Cons: Only lasted until just after warranty ran out,3 years. I expect more.

    Summary: Spent $105 plus tax on this pump not even 4 years ago and the motor gave up yesterday. After doing some research i discovered i was lucky it lasted that long. Both Flotec and Simer are made by Pentair. Simer is considered the low line of the two brands
