Pros: a spiritually abstract novel about two family members. great read for the alt group. Cons: lengthy read at points, & usually an over-drawn vocab for the high school student.
franny & zooey is a compelling story about the two youngest members of the glass family. i read this book after reading, like most of you, catcher & the rye. what a find of salinger's. he's such an amazing writer, so abstract & he can put subtle messages between the lines in a way thats not so cliche. i suggest this book to anyone who is a thinker & who loves to be enlightened.
