Cons: you never know when it will stop working!

My freezer is one year and two months old. I went down to get some meat out of the freezer and the freezer was warm ... all my food was spoiled! The display inside the freezer had and "E", where the freezer coldness level is usually displayed. Just on a whim I unplugged the unit and left it overnight (after removing a couple hundred dollars worth of food that is). Plugged back in the following morning and it worked like a champ. Now I'm just a little leery about refilling it again with food.

I called the Frigidaire service and they said, "I want to apologize for you losing your food. About the only thing I can offer is an extended warranty (for purchase). So my food was gone, I didn't know if this would happen again, and this company wanted to SELL me an extended warranty on a freezer just over a year old!! This is my main objection ... companies want to sell you appliances but will not stand behind them.

This will be my last Frigidaire purchase. I won't continue with a company that doesn't back the consumer that they sell to.

Pros: NONE
Cons: It will not last 5 years and Frigidaire does not stand behind their products

This freezer is junk. I spent over 600.00 for it and it lasted 4 years. I lost over 500.00 worth of food. I found out the Seal System FAILED and can not be repaired. Frigidaire said they were sorry and offered 30% off a new one. I consider this kinda new already or not old enough to be worthless and unrepairable. I can not believe Frigidaire does not stand behind the products they sell.
