Pros: The freezer, when working, has been wonderful for storing extra food. Cons: The freezer has compressor problems; HORRIBLE customer service. I won't buy Frigidaire or Electrolux again.
...in my eyes. We purchased a 13.8 cu. ft. Frigidaire chest freezer in March 2004; the compressor started having issues, so we replaced the unit (still under warranty, thankfully) in June 2004. We moved in May 2005 and had problems with the freezer ...
We purchased this freezer and put it in our garage. It has been running for several days now and has yet to cool. Freezer runs continuously but temperature inside unit remains either at room temperature, or even warmer. Would probably work great as an oven if we could get the temperature up a few degrees more. We haven't been able to use it at all... a complete waste of money. Customer support through Frigidaire is virtually non-existent to poor, at best. I've got someone coming out next week to see if they can fix it. Otherwise, I guess I'll just use it as a $400+ storage unit in my garage.
