Pros: Quieter than the unit it replaced. I like the digital temp setting.
Cons: Not designed to be installed in modern (vinyl) windows.
The unit works fine, and is smaller, lighter, quieter, and more energy efficient than the 4,000 BTUH GE unit that it has replaced. Everything inside the cabinet has a high gloss coating, which should make it less prone to fouling and mold, and easier ...

Pros: Priced Right
Energy Efficient
Energy Saver Mode
90 smooth fan speeds!
Cons: NONE that I can think of, this unit has it all!
I just picked this 10,000 BTU Frigidaire A/C unit up, along with it's sister unit (an 8,000 BTU Frigidaire #FAA087P7A). I bought at Lowes for $199 for the 10,000 BTU. It received extremely high marks from Consumer Reports. I can see why. This A/C ...

Cold but loud
by mikeberta ,May 10 '07
Pros: Cold, really cold. Cons: Loud even with on fan-only and on LOW speed.
I bought this A/C because of the Energy Star rating and the opinions about the product. Funny how not one mentioned how loud the blower is even on LOW. Turn it to HI and your wouldn't be able to think. It cools the room down quickly and keeps the room cool well. It was easy to install and did not require any special hardware or window mountings. All in all a good A/C, just wish it was quieter or even had an auto shut off when the temp is reached.

Frigidaire FAC107P1A air conditioner
by mcpulley ,Aug 10 '06
Pros: Price. 10.8 SEER. Ease of installation. Cons: Very loud. The batteries got very hot in remote. Put in another brand, now OK.
I bought Frigidaire FAC107P1A at Lowe's for $199. The reason I bought this model,it seems to be the best AC for the money. It also had good reviews. The 5 year warranty helped me decide on this unit.

Frigidaire FAA087P7A
by foodfiend ,Aug 13 '07
Pros: Energy Star, cools room quickly, remote, value Cons: loud, loud, loud!
I saw this model only mentioned in a review, and even though it's not the actual model being reviewed, I have to make a comment on it. I have no idea how to go about starting a review on this particular Frigidaire.
This is a great air conditioner, as everyone reviewed, but it is terribly loud. The difference in loudness between low and high fan speeds is negligable. It sounds like a vacuum cleaner running. However, I'm sticking with it. With Energy Star rating and all of the other plusses that the reviews previous to mine have mentioned, adding the fact that it was only $135, I'm just going to deal with the noise. We have only about 14-21 days of hot, humid weather per summer and for that long I can handle the noise for the cost, and other features, of this unit.
