Pros: Compressor on either unit is quiet.
Cons: Compressor on 89 speed unit is quiet, but fan motor is noisy.

I purchased this in 2006 with its 89 (90) different speeds for the fan, used it one day and because of the loud hum in the air mover fan motor, discarded it. (Then in 2007, I bought the same unit which had only 3 speeds for the fan motor and was QUIET and good. I tested the unit before buying.) Frigidaire apparently learned their lesson and changed the A/C over the winter to make it quiet. Beware of anything that is more than having a 3 speed fan...nice gimmick but not necessary.
