Pros: nothing. Cons: It doesn't work.
I purchased this model new in July 2006 for various reasons; it seemed a good value, entry-level model at $499 from the local dealer; energy efficient, easy on the clothes, about the right size for my needs (3 medium loads per week)etc. My Maytag ...

It's GREAT!!.....WHEN IT WORKS!!!!
by dugnlee ,Aug 12 '07
Pros: Quiet, Efficient, Saves water, electric and detergent, Easy to use, Price Cons: Unreliable! Could of replaced with 2 top loaders for price of this one!
Love it when it works! Bought it new April of '06. August of '06 it started acting up...put a load of wash in and come back a couple hours later to find it stopped in between the cycle doing nothing...dial would not advance...repairman replaced timer (under warranty). Worked great again until last month (July '07)...then started doing the exact same thing! Of course now it is out of warranty. Options: 1. Buy a new timer and replace it and hope that is it... 2. Have repairman back out and pay God knows how much to repair a nearly new washing machine... 3. Go buy a new top load washer (NOT a Frigidaire) for probably cheaper than what we would pay a repairman to fix this one. What makes the timer keep going out???? You'd think when you buy a brand new machine with a well known brand name, you'd get some quality from it. I'm not saying I don't like it...I do, when it is working. I have 4 children and school is starting again soon...I need a washer that I can depend on. Unfortunately, I guess this is not it.
