Pros: Easy to use, convenient, price, better than average capacity Cons: Can't they make a stacker in another color other than white?
I am usually not a big fan of stacker washers/dryers; they seem to lack the ability to clean clothes adequately and usually have the loading capacity of a soup bowl. When I moved to NC I had no other choice but to buy a stacker due to space, or lack ...
Pros: Quiet, water & electric saving, large size, solid built, user friendly, earth friendly cleaning machine. Cons: There are none.
I just love this new machine. I have washed everything from undies to comforters to rugs in my new machine and absolutely love it. It is a little thinner and a bit taller than the refrigerator and fits my space in the kitchen. Our home had never been ...
Pros: Easy to operate, very silent, saves electricity/water, great capacity, fits anywhere. Cons: None important. The washer's load capacity could be as big as the dryer's.
My wife and I have been for 25 years sick and tired of buying, fixing, and replacing (sometimes almost new) annoying noisy washers that shake and dance over the laundry room, washers with agitators that sometimes rip our cloths, and dryers that madly ...
Pros: Quiet, quiet, quiet. Save electricity and water. Use only half detergent Cons: Quality control needs to improve
We have had this machine for about 5 months now. Before we got this machine, we used to go to coin laundry once or twice a week and spent about $3 - $5 each time in cleaning and drying in laundry. We do the math, $5 a week multiply by 52 weeks means we ...
Pros: Energy efficient, relatively inexpensive, large capacity stackable unit Cons: Loud buzzer activates multiple times for a single load, no off or volume control
This unit is fast, efficient, and a good buy. I bought it because it was the least expensive choice for a stackable Energy-Star compliant washer/dryer and it had excellent reviews on this web site. What I love about it is that it has a large ...
Pros: Separate dispensers for detergent, bleach and fabric softener. Gets clothes ultra clean. Easy labeled knobs. Cons: Messy lint screen.
I've had my washer/dryer unit for about 4 or 5 months now. I can wash more clothes at one time and they come out cleaner. I've also found that I can use bleach on my colors without fading them! My cat mistook my laundry basket for her litter box once ...
Pros: Great bang for the buck Cons: The buzzer is WAY too loud and too long.
I bought this machine b/c of all the good reviews here on Epinions. I reiterate all that has been said thus far. It is quiet, efficient, holds a lot of clothes, uses hardly any water, gets the clothes amazing clean and the price is "do-able". With ...
I have the GLEH1642FS model. Very happy with the machine, aside from the fact that it has a loud and irritating buzzer/alarm. Luckily, with a little tinkering, it's not so difficult to disable the buzzer. I won't explain how to disable, but if you ...
Pros: Even if you're deaf, you'll know when the washer or dryer has finished. Cons: Unnaturally LOUD, unstable while in use, no adjustment available for buzzer volume
I purchased this unit based on the positive reviews I read online, trying to do my due diligence in research before buying what I hoped would be a long-term appliance. Either I got a dud, or everyone else who bought this model is clinically deaf. ...
Great except you need ear plugs by jad7244 ,Oct 26 '06
Pros: Good washer/dryer, great capacity in a small space Cons: Buy some ear plugs for the buzzer that you can't turn off
This washer dryer combo is great - uses little water, spin is great, drys clothes. The problem is that after the dry cycle OR the wash cycle, the buzzer is so loud and goes on for so long, that it wakes my toddler -- I'm talking a heavy sleeper who never, ever wakes up after going to bed at night. There is no knob to turn off the signal, so you just have to plug your ears and run to the machine (and to the baby who starts crying). I thought they made signals an option to turn off or on back in the 80's?
Frigidaire Front Load Laundry Center by landlordva ,Aug 31 '08
Pros: Fit in the space; Works great. Cons: Have none
After reading these review we purchased the front load laundry center for a condo we purchased; first the dryer has to be vented inside - which voids the warranty; shaking issue was resolved and the unit is running great. Make sure to remove all stabilizing and packing components behind the service panel for the unit.
I'll never go to a top loader again by pquery ,Nov 26 '05
Pros: Gentle on all fabrics
Dryer rack - sensor strips
extended dry cycle Cons: No delayed wash
No signal cycle
Doesn't "soak" heavy stained whites totally clean
I got mine on a special closeout and it's been great to me in the 4 months that I've owned it. Up until this point I had never had a dryer with a rack, but now I can wash my sneakers and hats without hearing the "clunk clunk" of shoes bouncing around the dryer and my tennis visors dry right into the correct shape.
With the moister sensor strips there's no need to keep doing timed dry cycle after cycle until the clothes are finally done. Once you set it to dry it will sense when the clothes are dry.
The washer is quiet and uses little water that sometimes you wonder if it has enough to do the job.
The porthole to put the clothes in seemed a little small at first in the showroom, but it hasn't been a problem even for washing a comforter.
DO NOT BUY THIS! It RIPS CLOTHING! by katiemar ,Jan 05 '08
Pros: one of the few stacked and compact units available. Cons: Damages clothing, no on/off for timer
THE UNIT IS RIPPING MY CLOTHING! Frigidaire has the worst customer service ever. They sent a technician out and because he said "Nothing seems wrong with the unit." Frigidaire tells me there's nothing I can do. In fact when I mentioned that this could be a manufacturer problem they said that that was impossible, that these units are fine. So basically, since they don't have a recall then nothing is wrong? Please if you're having the same problem let the world know. It's been very frustrating because the unit is damaging my clothing. On every load at least one garment comes out with a hole in it. Imagine the expense of washing your clothing and having something be damaged with every load! I recently washed three small rugs and all three came out with a hole in it. When I mentioned to Frigidaire that maybe it was hot spots creating this, again they said that this unit doesn't have this problem. Point is that I am 100% sure that something is wrong with the unit and am getting to a dead end with solutions. I strongly suggest you save yourself the agony of dealing with Frigidaire at all.
The above review is not honest by romey ,Aug 10 '05
Pros: Small space saving combo unit performing like the big boys. Cons: I wish the machine would fold my clothes after they're dried.
The Frigidaire Front load stacked Washer/Dryer is awesome. The person before me who gave a bad review may have a bad machine, but that doesn't mean it reflects all Frigidaire Front load stacked Washer/Dryers. If the person has a problem get it fixed and then report back. If you don't get your problem solved, then come back and report. At least give Frigidaire a chance. Otherwise my experience is a solid 10. My parents have the top of the line individual front loader washing machine and individual dryer and in comparison, this combo unit works every bit as well if not better. How's that for finding something that's great in a small package?
Pros: Uses little water and detergent. Low purchase price compared to other units. Cons: The spin cycle is still a little loud but not too bad.
It seems to clean things well with very little detergent, but it sounds like it wants to taker off for Mars. We just got it and I can not imagine that the unit is not defective. Washing is quiet, spin is a debacle.
We are calling the dealer today to get this thing replaced.
Got the replacement and it works very well. The first unit was either not unpacked correctly or it was simply defective.
I would recommend this unit, although the washer capacity is a little on the small side, BUT the price is hundreds less than the other brands.
Leave it to Frigidaire to find a washer and dryer solution for tight spaces. The Laundry Center is ideal for those who literally need a laundry room i...More at HomeGoodz
