Pros: Plenty of features, very quiet operation Cons: placement of buttons on the outside. Several service calls already
First let me say that there are 3 model numbers for this dishwasher, only one is listed on Epinions. The model numbers only vary by a letter on the end that indicates the color. I have the GLD2445RFB, which is black. It is the identical dishwasher, just ...

Pros: Cleans well and quietly Cons: Touchpad button design
I purchased this machine two months ago after moving into a new home. Previously, I was using a 1-year old Maytag Jetclean II dishwasher. The Maytag performed fine but I didn rsquo;t want to spend that much on another machine, although I wanted the ...

Pros: Looks good, fairly quiet. Cons: Cycles are long. Doesn't wash dishes at all. Efficiency at washing is only about 3%.
We have had 3 new dishwashers in the last 6 years (due to moving) and I have never had to wash my dishes before AND after they came out of the dishwasher. I have to agree w/ the other poster, my dishes come out worse than when they went in. I ...

Senior review

Pros: This unit was designed for lefties. Weighs only 76 lbs. Cons: Still looking.
The features on this dishwasher suit our lifestyle extremely well, especially the 'half-tub wash. Our old dishwasher was fifteen years old, and a newer model was needed. We purchased this dishwasher at an appliance store in Alabama for $299, and loaded it in our small SUV and brought it home. We purchased an installation kit and set about replacing our old unit with this one. I had never installed a dishwasher before, but it went well.

Twelve year old dishwasher did better and it was on its last leg!
by oceanlites ,Nov 10 '07
Pros: Child button lock and low rinse aid features.the outside cleans easy. Cons: We actually paid for this and put it in our truck and brought it home!
I have had this model only 2 months and already i am so frustrated with it!I have to re-run half of my dishes thru a second time. When we bought this model,we thought that having the extra sprayer jets underneath the cups and bowls would be a great cleaning feature. No such luck.I have tried 3 different detergents and 2 rinse aids.It leaves water spots and food particles and stuff i can't even descibe on my plates that i have to scrub off.Now on top of this, the guide for the top rack keeps mal-functioning so the right side track comes off every other load when you pull the rack out(and it isn't yanked out..there are no children living here). There is a little clip you have to take off at the very end and put on..a tricky maneuver to do..especially when it is on the right side (and you have a left shoulder injury at the moment to contend with). All in all if i could return this d.w. ...i would... it bites...my old d.w. did better even when it was dying it at least still cleaned the dishes!

Not satisfied
by username409 ,May 18 '08
Pros: Looks good Cons: Doesn't get the job done right
Not an expert on dishwashers, but I'm pretty sure that the items you put inside are not supposed to come out with more spots and stains than when you put them inside the washer. Specifically, I'm talking about all metal items I place in the washer (cutlery, silverware, pots/pans, etc.). Now, I don't know if these items are supposed to be dishwasher safe or not, but EVERYTHING metallic that goes in comes out looking like it's aged 100 years!!! Rust everywhere!!! Don't know why this is happening...but I'm definitely not satisfied.

Like washing dishes twice?
by kar_tx ,Jun 22 '09
Pros: Easy to use Cons: Loud, doesn't clean dishes
Bought this model after our old GE died unexpectedly. We are planning to sell the house in a year or so and didn't want to spend a lot on a dishwasher. Ug! Should have gone ahead and spent the $$ for something better. As other reviewers have noted, this washer is LOUD. My husband installed extra noise insulation around it and it is still loud. The worst problem by far though is that the holes in the spray arms are constantly getting clogged. I have to wash the dishes completely before putting them in the washer to avoid clogs, and still I have problems. As a result, the dishes don't really get clean, and often come out with a layer of grit on them which means I get to wash them all over again!
