Oh, yes, I love this dryer! I do.The Backstory...I ordered this Frigidaire dryer when my washer of 12 years went kaput, and we'd purchased the dryer at the same time. I'd never had any problems with my previous dryer; however, we'd had ...

Pros: Dries without overdrying, quiet, nice-looking Cons: Have to occasionally clean a bit of lint that accumulates on inside of door.
I bought this dryer one month ago as a set with the GLTF2940ES washer (like the previous reviewer), though I use them side by side rather than stacked. I am very happy with both machines. I have been completely satisfied with this dryer so far. I ...
Pros: Great dryer with large capacity and good price Cons: Lint trap does need extra attention to avoid jams
I purchased this dryer as part of a set and have had a great result with it. Unlike its counterpart washer, it has few problems and still has plenty of features to play with. It offers a large variety of dry settings for varying types of load sizes and ...
Pros: Quiet and efficient, gets your clothes dry quick. Cons: None at this time.
I purchased this dryer along with the GLTF2040FS on Nov. 2, 2008, which I have also reviewed.I have a family of 6 including myself. Kids are 13, 12, 6 and 3 years old. So there are a lot of loads of clothes to wash every ...
Pros: When it works it's a descent dryer. Cons: I think it was cheaply built.
We've owned the Frigidaire Gallery Series set for just over 4 years. The washer is still working fine, but the dryer just didn't get hot anymore and would not dry the clothes. I tried to repair it myself and checked the thermostat, heating element, and sensors and connections. The only thing left is the control panel and that would cost me $170 just for the part, but for someone who did not know how to fix these themselves, the repair bill would be well over $300. I decided to buy a new dryer instead. I will never buy Frigidaire again. Also, we've had the same problem as a previous poster who got holes in their clothes.
Hate This Dryer With A Passion!! by denisehallerba ,Oct 21 '08
Pros: Dries clothes. Cons: Clothing catches on the lint catcher and rips clothing.
Forget putting ANY clothing which has spaghetti straps which you care about. They WILL be ruined because of this dryer's poor lint catcher design. Straps wrap around the corner of it and twist them as the dryer turns, snapping the strap from the body of the clothing. I've tried to be extra careful to not put these types of clothes in there, but once in a while, one will sneak through. I assure you, that if it makes it into the dryer, consider it IN THE TRASH!!!
Pros: Value
Works Very Well Cons: Auto Drying overly sensitive
We bought this about 3 months ago with the GLTF2940ES as stacked units. This is the first dryer I have owned.
Dryer is very easy to use and works very well. My wife really likes it. I guess the only "complaint" I would have is that the auto dry sensor tends to trigger a shutoff before clothes are very dry (how I like them).
