From Toledo to Jerusalem

This documentary far exceeded my hopes and expectations--which were quite high. "From Toledo to Jerusalem" presents a wonderful and insightful experience into Sephardic Judaism. The music, voice, and narration of Sr. Gaon were engaging and the presentation was very informative. He gives us a better understanding of the history of Sephardic Judaism. Sr. Gaon takes us to Spain, Amsterdam, Auschwitz, and many other places as we travel from Toledo to Jerusalem extending even to our time and very recent history. He shares personal family both in the Spanish Inquisition and the Nazi Holocaust. Much of this presentation is done in full period costume.

This video was loaned to me by my rabbi and I like it well enough to buy my own copy. I have no problem with any part of this video, except perhaps, that I wish that it were even longer. I was "hooked" within the first thirty seconds! I could have benefited were this available in DVD with specials included in a multi-disc set. I can not say enough good about this presentation!
