It accepts standard AA sized batteries and you would be well advised to buy a fast charger and 2300mAh batteries. The included remote also acts as a cable release, although this is far from a professional quality camera. I have failed to use this camera as a webcam, but I think the FinePix 50i offers this feature, as well as a voice memo function that this one lacks. Overall, it's a stylish, well built and great budget camera that can play a few mp3s and also a poor man's camcorder as well! Does everything my phone doesn't! There are a lot of better cameras out there now, like the Canon IXUS-i (ELPH or IXY in other markets) that are much smaller, but few play tunes as well.
