Pros: Tiny footprint, extremely fast, scans duplex color in one pass, saves in Adobe PDF format Cons: Occasionally jams on crisp paper, only handles feedable documents, no TWAIN support, no grayscale
For years now, as my desk and files overflow with reports, documents, statements, receipts, and other papers I can't bring myself to throw out, I've been wanting to scan (and then shred) all of these documents into my computer. But as most people who ...
Pros: Compact design, fast color duplex or simplex scanning, immediate scan to PDF, great value! Cons: I really haven't experienced any. If I do I'll be sure to update this section.
I like the new paperless environment that we find ourselves in and/or moving towards. I find that I can be more organized by filing documents digitally versus paper. Its a no clutter way to maintain your important papers and easier, at least for ...
Pros: Fast, easy to use, and works very well! Cons: Occasional paper jam, but only where you would expect it (difficult paper, sticky, etc.)

Scanner which works like a Fax machine. Very fast and easy to use. by sei_kameoka ,Oct 31 '06
Pros: Very fast scan (a few sec/paper), Scan both side of paper. Cons: multiple glossy papers cause jam.
I have been using this about 1.5 years, and scanned more than 3000 papers. it works great without any glitch. It can scan color or B/W very fast. Basically, it works like a FAX machine. Put documents (~20-30 pages), press the button, all the information is stored as pdf file in the computer. It can scan both side of paper simultaneously. It comes with Adobe Acrobat (Not Free Adobe Acrobat reader), so you can delete, edit, extract each page later. It's somewhat expensive, but it's worth it.
Only problem is that glossy papers cause jam. Also, you often see some thin line on scanned image when you use color mode.
works great, folds up when not in use, handles all sizes of documents by lm-from-ct ,Sep 26 '06
Pros: keeps on working, fast, b&w or color, single or double sided Cons: no complaints here
I use this scanner at work and scan approximately 100 documents a day. I've been use the scanner for about just under a year and have had no problems.
It's easy. I just put my documents in the feeder and press the scan button. Then I create my adobe file.
Its fast. You can adjust the resolution. So the better the resolution, the slower it goes. But even on the lowest setting, using B&W the image is fine. It has the option of scanning in color. It can also scan double sided.
Since I did not purchase it don't know the price, but was told it was around $300
The little Scanner that Absolutely can Scan-Scan-Scan by dmleffler ,Feb 10 '06
Pros: Double-sided, Color, Small form factor, Excellent software, Price and scan quality. Cons: None
Needed to archive multi-year business documents.
Fujitsu nailed it on this one. Rarely do products stand up to the marketing hype. The ScanSnap fi-5110EOX2 is an exception.
It's small form factor, styling and color is soft and sleek but under the hood it roars. The software packaged with the scanner is first-rate, Adobe Acrobat 7.0, and more.
Quick and easy setup. Great for Home or Business use. You can't go wrong with this scanner.
