Pros: Relatively inexpensive (for the features), quiet, efficient, and gets clothes really clean Cons: Basement use ONLY, Signal function too quiet, time remaining inaccurate, first model year
Summary: Update 10/28/08: These appliances are over two and a half years old now. We have a child now, also. So we're running a couple loads every other day. This washer (and matching dryer) still perform flawlessly with ZERO ... read more

Pros: Haven't seen a pro yet Cons: Cons? I think Lowes EPP is one big con
Summary: The negative comments are aimed more at Lowes and their extended protection plan which I purchased. The washer developed a problem after about 3 years where it would not get up to full spin with heavy loads leaving the clothes soaking wet. Later the ... read more

Pros: Looks Cons: 1.Can't adjust water level manually
Summary: After two weeks, I'm fairly happy. Just found out that I can use the delicate cycle to get more water into the wash cycle. Here's some of the things I don't like, but maybe I just need to figure out a workaround: 1. My wife likes to pre-soak her ... read more

Pros: Does good job washing gets clothes very dry in spin cycle reducing drying time significantly Cons: All wash cycles except "speed" are VERY VERY long! Ridiculously long.
Summary: The washer does its job for sure, but I think that over an hour (and some over TWO HOURS!!!) for every cycle but the "Speed wash" cycle is ridiculous speed wash is min of about 30 minutes). Had I known this was the case, I would NOT have purchased this ... read more

Pros: Multiple settings (especially the handwash setting), the spin cycle, need very little detergent. Cons: The doors to the washer are not reversible.
Summary: I have hoped and prayed that my Kenmore top load washer would bite the dust for sometime now. It was 15 years old and had seen better days and finally the good Lord heard my prayers. I knew without a doubt that I wanted a front load washer (mainly ... read more

Pros: Gentle, effective, big capacity, easy to use, nice overall design, very efficient, has advanced diagnostics Cons: Slow, pump may need to be cleaned periodically, requires stable platform and good balancing
Summary: This washer is great for gently washing clothing, but you have to pay a bit more attention to it than a typical washer. Prepare to clean out the pump every six months or so (unless you are REALLY good at making sure nothing "bad" gets in there) using

Pros: Energy efficient Cons: Breaks too often
Summary: We bought our washer October 29, 2006 and were relatively happy with it. Easy to operate. Dirty clothes made clean like it should. And then... The water pump broke and was replaced January 2008 and now (May 13, 2008) it seems to have gone up again

Pros: The GE Extended warranty service people are professional and polite in difficult circumstances. Cons: poor design, poor company. I will never purchase another GE product of any kind.
Summary: I purchased this washer over a year ago with great expectations of the wonderful benefits from front loading washers. I have had nothing but serious problems since. Constant leaks, poor detergent, bleach, and softner dispensing, rusting parts, terrible

Pros: Front end controls are great but lacks quality and reliability. Cons: It is a bad washer. I do not advise to buy.
Summary: November 5, 2006 @0109AM: Yesterday evening, I had started washer at 0530PM; I was working on other tasks and forgot about clothes; And at 1230AM realized that washer is giving loud noise; that means washer is running for 7 hours. On October 19, 2006-
