Pros: Environmentally friendly, great customer service, cute Cons: Expensive, cumbersome
I've been using G Diapers for about a month. I applaud their efforts to design an eco diaper (if such a thing can exist), but there are definitely some problems with them. Ease of use: The covers are very cute and soft. ...
Pros: Cute Colors. Cons: No environmental, not healthy, expensive!
Honestly....THINK about what you are buying before you shell out the money and put these on your child!! We've tried Gdiapers for a vacation when we couldn't take our cloth diapers. Honestly....I feel like they are a pretty crummy product just ...
I was very excited about the idea of the g-diapers, and I am very disappointed that they didn't work out for us. Unfortunately, I have very few good things to say about them. Keep in mind, that I have a very young, breastfed baby which means she is ...
Pros: Cute, no leaks, environmentally friendly Cons: Cost and bulky
This is my first time cloth diapering and wasn't sure what diapers I would like. I bought 6 used g-diapers from www.craigslist.com Each came with 2 plastic liners and a package of 40 inserts (these were new of course). I got them all for $10! They were ...
Pros: No stinky diaper pail! Cons: More expensive than regular disposables.
I have used Huggies for all 3 of my children, and until now have not considered another option. My youngest is a year old and her diaper pail is no longer containing her stink. This was my motivation to look for another option. G Diapers have been the ...
Pros: Design, easier to apply than cloth, waste in toilet not landfill, adorable, easy clean up Cons: May seem awkward until you get used to tearing and dumping; expensive
We use cloth diapers (cotton pre-folds) as our primary diapering system and g-diapers as our backup. If we go out of town for more than a few days, cloth just doesn't work well (who wants to lug all those soiled diapers back, and finding time for ...
Pros: easy to use, great for the environment, pretty colors. Cons: refills are pricey and maybe hard to find
I have been using cloth diapers for almost a year, but when I travel they take up a lot of room and for a full day in the airport I had to use disposables. But g diapers have solved my problem. I bought the starter kit which includes two covers, four ...
Pros: Great concept, velcro tabs to the back is very forward thinking Cons: Bulky, a bit complicated to use and may cause plumbing issues.
After finding out the environmental impact of standard disposable diapers I was eager to try something new and environmentally friendly. I picked up the gDiaper starter kit in my local Organic Health Food Store. The design of the diaper is nothing ...
they leak and they will clog your toilet by bobloblaw42 ,Oct 05 '09
Pros: i can't think of any pros to these things Cons: will clog your plumbing and don't fit right, leak
they don't fit right, they leak, they are really hard to put on (there are like 4 layers you have to deal with and you have to wash the pants each time you use them due to leaking!) also, the company won't take returns if the package is open, even though the product itself is defective and doesn't work as advertised. and they're all "peace and blessings" in their emails, but in reality they are corporate scum like any other, who care nothing about the satisfaction of their customers but just want to keep your money. and don't even try to flush them if you live in an older house with old plumbing.
Pros: Ease of Use Flushability/biodegradeability Baby was comfy Cons: Cost
I've used cloth diapers since my daughter was born 9 months ago...but it came time for a vacation and I did not want to deal with them during that time. So a friend suggested "g" diapers, as that is what she uses when she's out and about.
It was LOVE at first use! I watched the video on their website to make sure I was fitting it correctly, and I never had a leakage problem from day one. They suggested doubling up at night, so I did that, and not a leak! Better than my cloth nightime results!
They broke up as expected int he toilet, and flushed them right down. Somtimes the liner didn't go all the way down if my timing wasn't perfect on the "release", but all in all, I'd use them any time traveling away from home.
Pros: nice concept, not bulky, nice design, inexpensive Cons: not flushable, leaks
i think the concept is good but th eproduct needs to be fine tuned a bit more. I found that i was still having to use dispoables because if my child was on the slightest angle than the cloth diaper part was wet or dirty.
Also Never flush the liner even though it says "flushable". I learned this the hard way with a 3am plumbing emergency that cost $700.
The plumber said " you would need a perfect system to be able to flush these and NO one has a perfect system.
I ended up getting rid of my G diapers and switching to Bum Genuis 3.0 pocket diapers, I LOVE them
Pros: great for the environment and very stylish! Cons: hard to find retailers in small towns!
gDiapers are great alternative to disposable diapers. They are easy to use once you get the hang of it, and if you ready the user guide before you use them you will find lots of valuable tips!
Pros: Easy to flush, not too many leaks, environmentally friendly Cons: A little expensive, hard to find in stores unless you live in a big city
I love g diapers! I haven't had any problems using them so far. It take a few extra seconds to tear the insert and flush, but those extra seconds are worth it. I was using disposables, and the number that we threw away made me sick... imagine how many are out there in the world. They are a little expensive, so I also use cloth inserts in the covers and they work great as well.
I also want to say that the people who work for g diapers are great. They include a user's guide in each starter kit that is very helpful, and on that guide they have a phone number that you can call and talk to a REAL PERSON! I called when we had a toilet clog, and they were so friendly and helpful. (Yes, we had one clog, but only one!)
The g diapers website also has great information regarding diapers and the environment. They are cradle to cradle certified and endorsed by several important environmental researchers.
The cutest! But, expensive! by mymaddiegrl924 ,May 08 '07
Pros: Cute, and they work!! Cons: COST
No leaks after 10+ hours on my 3 month old! (But I have had leaks!) I use cloth and these are a little more work. BUT, they are better then disposables on my mind! I really like them but, I think I'll just use cloth because of the cost. If they're to much for you try, BumGenius! :) They rock!
Pros: They flush, doesn't add to landfills, cute, stays put. Cons: Bulky under clothes, can leak.
The gDiapers are worth it in my opinion just to not add to the landfills which was the whole reason I bought them, not to mention they're just so cute. I agree they are bulky under clothes and I've had them leak overnight. They suggested I double up on the inserts to solve the leaking problem which I haven't tried yet. I have had my toilet clog once, but not since I've been tearing the inserts on 3 sides. It can take a little getting used to having to handle the poopy insert to tear it and swishing it around in your toilet to break it up. The customer service is stellar and shipping is super fast. You can order over the phone if you don't want to do it online. They have 4 additional colors: Pink, Purple, Hawaiian and Swirl. The other colors are Blue, Green, Orange and Red. I paid $24.99 for the starter pack which is 2 gDiapers pants with 2 liners each, 10 inserts and 1 swishstick with a suction cup hook to hang it off of.
