Pros: Nice building in a nice setting.
Cons: Almost everything else.

Recently spent the night here. Rude manager. Poorly trained staff. Lacklustre atmosphere. Mediocre food. Lots of other unhappy guests. Need I say more?

I travel a lot because of work and I stay in 20-30 hotels every year in all parts of the UK, so I've seen excellence, and I've seen awfulness. This is not the worst, but it comes close. The owner/manager and his attitude is a liability to this business - and sadly his manner and attitude rub off on some of the other staff. It's time to step aside, sir, and bring in a professional front-of-house manager who understands customers.

4* hotel? I don't think so.
