Pros: A well-built, reliable, accurate, flexible, and expandable unit.
Cons: Minor really.  Screen readability in bright light and USB plug waterproofing concerns.

Summary: First, some background.  I am a 15-year volunteer FF, EMT, Water Rescue Team Leader.  I have been using GPS units since about 2001 and have extensive experience in maps and geographic information systems.  I use GPS units for search ... read more

Pros: Light, accurate, and durable (except the screen)
Cons: Tough on batteries; easy to scratch screen if you're not careful

Summary: Interface: The touch-screen interface is so mch easier to use than the push-button interface I've used on older Garmins.  The screen is reactive and easy to read, and after  little playing around it's easy to follow the menus and igure out ... read more

    Cons: it was pricey

Summary: Let me explain what my experience is with GPS' so if you're in a similar boat (or ahead or behind me) you can base my review on that.  I received a Garmin Nuvi for my car for Christmas one year.  I'd never used something like that and from that ... read more

Pros: Light weight, great screen size
Cons: Little difficult to pan the map

Summary: I purchased this unit for a project I am involved with. We are mapping all the class six roads in our state. So with that we need to verify a lot of locations for where these roads are and how long they are. We also take note of any areas where the roads ... read more
