Pros: Easy to use, Small Size, Voice Prompt, Battery Life, Affordable Cons: Basic
I bought this GPS for Christmas last year and have been more than pleased with it. I have found that it is very easy to use and has many great navigation features. Here are some of the many benefits of using the Garmin:

Pros: Easy to use, slim, Cons: Maps and points of interest out of date
I bought the 255W a few weeks ago in the UK and find it very easy to set up and helpful for getting around towns in the UK. It is slim enough to fit into your pocket, but I would suggest purchasing a case. I am amazed at the technology but it does have ...
Pros: The unit is compact and easy to read. Cons: Don't buy Garmin's GPS products-customer service is horrible phone support is non-existent.
I currrently own 4 garmin GPS systems. 3 C330's and 1 new Nuvi 255W. In the past, the old Garmin Street Pilots C330's had major design flaws such as a connected power cord that flexed and eventually broke off. They redesigned the system to use ...
Pros: Easy to use Voice commands Normally accurate Locates specific things (restaurants, parks, etc) Cons: Sometimes sends you to wrong place Map occassionally innaccurate Speedometer/odometer a bit off
I bought my Garmin Nuvi 255w in August, 2008; my first car GPS. It has been an invaluable tool in getting me through unfamiliar territory. It's easy to use (I'm not the swiftest with technology, so that's saying something) and the screen menus are fairly ...
Pros: pretty display, easy to see in sunlight, adjusts to darkness Cons: Gets lost easily, loses satellites,
I bought this unit and used it locally for a few days before taking a major trip from the Bay Area to Grand Teton/Yellowstone park. It performed just fine around the local area. However, it got lost in Twin Falls ID and kept taking us around ...
Pros: Easy to use. Screen is very bright. The detachable mount is great. Cons:
Somtimes shows county road numbers instead of names.
I wanted a GPS for navigatiing. I am not a techno-weenie so I didn't want all the MP3, blue tooth, and other stuff I'll never use.
This unit is very intuitive. I didn't even read the manual and just started using it like a pro. The display is bright and I can read it with my sun glasses on. My Garmin GPS-IV needed reading glasses to see. It will stay on my quad now.
The only CON I found is that sometimes the road name is shown as a county road instead of the actual name. The county seldom puts the county road numbers on signs around here, just the names. The green bar on top DOES show the name IF your driving on it, but not if it is a cross road. My delorme map program tends to do this too.
