Pros: VERY WELL CONFIGURED YOU CANT EXPECT MUCH MORE FROM A 64BIT PC. Cons: LIMITED POWER SUPPLY AND SHARED VIDEO, IT DOES RENDER WELL THOUGH.

Media center goodness

Pros: Tuner Card, large amount of ram, large hard drive. Cons: No wireless networking. Who still uses 56K anyways!!??
video card and 300w power supply.
I have had my Gateway 5260 media center for 2 weeks now. So far I have had no major issues with the system. I got the Gateway 19" LCD monitor to go with it and am very happy. The DVI output on the card coupled with the DVI input on the monitor make for very good image quality. With the 320gb SATA hard drive I dont need to worry about space. The ONLY bottleneck and issue I have with this system is lack of a better video card, and with only a 300W power supply options a VERY limited as to what you can put in without having to change the power supply. The 2GB of dual channel ram is plenty, and despite the video card, it plays games rather well. I just got Microsoft Flight sim. X (very demanding) and while I can't max out all the detail settings, it still has very acceptable image quality and frame rates. The system comes 7.1 surround ready, but the 2 dinky speakers it comes with sound like crap. The wireless mouse and keyboard are a very nice touch and I have had no issues.
