I purchased this system as a replacement for my old P3,700mhz clunker.It has more than enough speed and memory to handle just about anything you can throw at it.The TV tuner/recorder works great with a standard cable connection.The only issue I have had with it is trying to burn recorded tv to dvd,and I believe this is due to bugs in the WindowsXP Media Center Edition Operating System.Other than that,I love this machine.Great Graphics(128 mb radeon graphics card),mega-memory(1 gb of ddr ram,250 gb hard drive),and blazing speed (3.4 ghz P4,800 hz fsb,1 mb cache).

Pros: GAMER. add on capable.
Cons: Fan is like a jet liner every so often.

ive got this at a nice price.owned by sone one else before me.came with every thing BUT the Media remote.Dose videos like a dream.Gaming is all good, but for some off reason the ATI Radeon X300 SE don't like to run good with Quake Wars.Had it on for 6+ months before I turned it off DeDusted it and tryed to boot and told me there is no Hard Drive.fixed it by moving the plug down by one on the Mother Board.Linux is so KICK on the PC.. to add HD i bought a Hanns-G Hw191D 18" LCD Monitor.But yea it's a nice PC that was made in 2006!!

Fast, powerful, no issues with it other than Windows Media Center XP op sys, can't wait to try to make it sing and dance with Mac system 10

Purchased under pressure from my son, i am a long time Mac fanatic.

Paid less than $600 shipped, has PCI express mother board, rocket fast on the internet, and seems stable and very quick in all applications.

Overall seems pretty nice for a darkside computer

I was searching for a replacement for the HP laptop computer I had used for 5 years. I was concerned at first about the amount of space that it would take up and whether or not I would miss having the laptop. I am pleased to say that the Gateway 825GM was a solid buy. I have been happy with the speed and I purchased the wireless keyboard to go with it. The speaker system is well balanced and full sounding.

i bought this at tigerdirect.com i thought it would be a good pc because of the parts it had,but never buy it refurb i took this to best buy they couldnt fix it so i had to return it through mail.

i bought this computer to use for college. i have taken it back to best buy where i purchased it 6 times already. the computer went down the first week i had it. i do not know much about computers but i know how to turn one on and when i did i just saw a black screen. i have taken back to the store they told me they fixed it and the same problem. they tried to tell me i had a virus but i hadnt even been on the internet. i finally after the 6th time asked if i could have a new one same model they said gateway did not allow that. they said i would have to send it back to the manufacturer. i pay for shipping and handeling and if they couldnt fix it then i would get a new one. after weeks of complaining and call the company direct i got my money back. i went through hell to buy a new computer. do not recommend
