Pros: A unique and intimate dining experience Cons: A little dark and smoky from the fondue oil
OK, so I had a great dinner in Chicago at Geja's (actually UNFORGETTABLE). This is a really charming, cozy little restaurant with a tiny bar 5 or 6 streets below street level. The seating is very intimate, and forget a reservation for Valentine's Day,...

Pros: Great food, great service, very romantic, no kids. Cons: Can be loud at times, location means it's no one's secret.
Let's face it: there are a lot of restaurants in Chicago. A whole lot. But for my money, very few I've been to can match the intimacy or charm of Geja's.
First Impressions
Geja's, located in Lincoln Park, is an extremely...

Pros: Great food, relaxing, warm atmosphere, low cost. Cons: Poor ventilation
Geja's eclectic crowd and low lights make it a wonderful place to have a relaxed conversation while dining out. The booths tend to be more private than the currently trendy wide open space type of seating.
The meals run about 25$ per person...

Pros: None Cons: Smoke, smoke, cramped, dark, smelly
I visit Geja's about 8 years ago and thought it was romantic and charming. I visited Geja's again last year and couldn't believe I felt that way! Enter at your own risk, you may come out with a bad case of lung cancer. The matrie'd was rude and even ...

Geja's Cafe is one place that helps define Chicago and it has been around forever, and the great service and food show it! They have a very nice menu with a lot of different choices. You can select from among a bunch of different types of foundues and ...

Pros: A bit cramped on space and food is a bit pricey. Cons: Extremely romantic site for you and your lover.
The first time I heard of Geja's I thought of a boring and upscale restaurant. Boy, was I wrong!! I recently took my girlfriend for our 3 year anniversary. As soon as you enter, the atmosphere is romantic, dark, and homely. The restaurant puts you in a...

Pros: Excellent romantic, sensory, and delightful experience Cons: Not one
If you love fondu, or even if you've never tried fondu, Geja's is a delight you won't soon forget. Very romantic surroundings, you may find it takes a moment for your eyes to become accustomed to the dim light inside, as there are no lights in the...

Pros: Very Romantic Cons: It Cost Some Bucks
This restaurant is for one thing and one thing only, for people that are in love. If you have never had Fondue, let me tell you that it might seem strange at first, but it is definitely very romantic.
The Food...

Pros: wonderful food, ambiance, service, privacy Cons: parking is awful, rather pricey, need reservations
Growing up in the city, Geja's was the goal of every young, romantic couple in the 60's and 70's. Never was there a more delightful place to sit for hours, deep in conversation and surrounded by beautiful art, great music, incredible food, and an...

Pros: romantic Cons: smokey, expensive
My first trip to Geja's was in 1991. A friend and I were both recently divorced so we started going to restaurants in Chicago that we had not been to before as "test dates". Since when we were ready to start dating again we wanted to be able...

Pros: Atmosphere, Food, Service, Price, Wine Cons: Your clothes absorb the smell of oil
Geja's is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago. The atmosphere is extremely cozy and romantic, as you feel like you are in a different country. (I am, however, confused by the given picture, as this is not Geja's) The wine list is superb,...

Pros: Food and Wine were very good. Cons: I was bumping arms with the people at the table next to us.
I enjoyed our experience at Geja's for the most part but it is really small and over crowded. We had an appetizer, entree, bottle of wine, and dessert. If they would remove about three tables and spread out a little, it would be nicer. I like small...
