A Dryer that actually works as advertised
by caprijoe ,Jul 17 '09
Pros: Quietest dryer I've ever heard Quick drying, Low power usage Cons: It's big, Make sure you measure before you buy
We just got this dryer to replace a 16 year old one. I can't believe the difference. It works judt like advertised. It's also much quieter then our old dryer. It also dryes much quicker. I think we'll save a bundle on electric.

Questionable Service
by csiddaway ,Sep 23 '09
Pros: The units are easy to use, aesthetically pleasing, easy to stack. Cons: Service is terrible from the maintenance contractor (in BC it's Direct Energy)
We just purchased and recieved a version of this GE dryer from a Canadian Home Depot. Upon loading the first wash, I discovered that the sensor dry does not work. I called the Home Depot where we bought it, and they wanted nothing to do with me. They told me to call GE. The people at GE were very nice, and attempted to assist me to trouble shoot the problem, only to discover a service call is needed. Two days later I get a call from the service company, only to be told that it will take over two weeks to get a technician my way. The matching washer works great, and the time dry seems to be working okay, but I am thoroughly unimpressed with the service and warranty. I would also look into who is offering the extended warranties, and if it is through the manufacturer, I would think twice. I would almost have rather taken the risk without the warranty, and then paid for a service call from my local repair company who could be out the same day.
