Pros: Good in snow and dirt. Wear like iron, very good on-road manners. Cons: Not an all out off-road tire.
I picked up a set of these used, size 235/75/15. I got them for my 2 wheel drive S-10 for a good winter tire, and that's exactly what they were. Here's my rundown. Dry Roads Excellent tire, very quiet and all the traction you should need. Behave very ...

Pros: Full-range of capabilities, tough, 60K miles Cons: A little pricey, easy to spin
Introduction
What can I say about my tires? I can't possibly say enough. They've driven me over 19,000 miles. Safely, efficiently, good or bad terrain.
Purchasing

Pros: good price, functioning tread pattern, economical overall. Cons: not suitable for extended muddy terrain driving, maybe not suitable for tropical countries.
I had used some Grabber ATs when I was in the US, so coming back to my tropical country, I decided to give them a go. I had a Ford 4WD pick-up (using the Mazda chassis for Australia and Asia market). I used the Grabber AT in 31 " X 10.5" size mounted ...

Out Of Round May 2007
by pdandy ,Jun 02 '07
Pros: Great looks, good price if you only drive below 50 mph Cons: Vibration from out of round unacceptable! Don't buy until 2008 maybe?
Grabber AT 2's for 2WD Sequoia. Had them balanced twice to solve vibration problem - no luck. Saw the tire 3/4in out of round on the Hunter balancer ... before and after balancing. Over 70 mph the vibration starts to get uncomfortable. They held very well in turns until max performance where they would suddenly let go. Was a very enthusiastic General customer after a set of orig equip Grabber ST's on 2WD Mercedes ML320 had given me 50K mi of great aggressive drive use. General must have a factory problem.

Caused a vibration on my Explorer XLT AWD
by asoubriquet ,Jul 21 '04
Pros: Very aggressive for bad weather Cons: Too aggressive for my Explorer XLT AWD
I bought a new set of these tires and had to exchange them for less aggressive ones: Every time I hit 50 MPH, there was a pronounced pulsing in the steering wheel and the floor. Until I replaced them with the smooth ride of regular General Grabber SUV tires, I hadn't even realized that they were causing a subliminal vibration all the time. I think they would be fine on a truck, but for my Explorer, they were too much. I'm not very car or tire savvy, it's just my ordinary consumer opinion. I live on a dirt road where there are winding mountain turnpikes, but I do a great deal of highway driving at 65 MPH limits, as well.
General Tire was very accommodating about the replacement. I've also had Continentals (same company) on a Subaru Forester for 8 months and love them.
