Pros: great for vegetables - love the grill marks Cons: unable to control heat - dries out lean cuts of meat.
The one I bought is probably discontinued that's why it was on sale for C$19.95 Its called Hot Metal Colors. Love the way my red peppers and zucchini turned out especially the grill marks. I don't cook meat with high fat content so both times that I cooked meat - once with sirloin steaks and the second time with chicken breasts, both times the meat came out drier than my hot plate grill. So disappointed. I will try again with a more fatty type of meat and see how it does.
Good little cooking appliance for someone going away to college. Cleaning tip : wipe down while still warm with a slightly damp paper towel. Its a breeze but once the hot plate cools its harder.
