Pros: compact, battery operated, can operate with one hand, can use 5-oz or 8-oz bottles Cons: must press a button to achieve rhythmic sucking motion
I received the Gerber Battery/Electric Breast Pump as a gift in 1996 when I was pregnant with my first child. I was finishing up my last quarter at Cal Poly SLO and I knew that I would be giving birth some time before I graduated. I was...
Pros: Affordable, fairly quiet, better than previous Gerber pumps Cons: Ineffective, requires manual work, only one side at a time, latching problems
Are you pregnant or lactating? Looking for a good breast pump to help feed your baby? As an experienced mother of two, I can tell you that the Gerber Battery/Electric Breast Pump is a complete and total waste of your money.
Pros: Nice design, not too much noise, soft suction cup Cons: Had trouble getting it to work all the time, pulse button did not work
I breast fed both my sons. I believe this is important and to tell you the truth I really enjoyed the experience. When my second son Matthew was born I decided to get a new breast pump since my other one was 2 years old and I thought a newer model...
Pros: The Gerber name Cons: It does not work very well, would not latch on after second use.
Ok this is a name brand our family has used for years. So, when it came time for my daughter to have her baby we thought wow Gerber should be a great brand to purchase. It is reasonably priced and has been around for years.
Pros: Inexpensive, small Cons: Ineffective, causes soreness
I am a lactation consultant, and I would like to warn all moms to avoid this pump. You may think you are getting a great deal because it is much cheaper, but you almost certainly will be disappointed. The Gerber pump is poorly and cheaply designed, and...
I had to get the breast pump in my early breastfeeding days, since my baby had difficulty to latch on, and I was constantly engorged. I sent my mother to get me a Medela mini-electric, but she decided that mini-electric is overpriced, so she asked the...
I bought this pump when my daughter was 7 weeks old and thought it would be a great buy! Boy was I wrong it has been nothing but trouble and have since bought a pump recomended by a lactation consultant. I bought this pump here in canada for about 77...
Pros: none Cons: painful , takes too long to begin letdown
Before my third child was born we had to schedule surgery for when he was several weeks old. We had to find a pump so that I could store breast milk for my husband to feed my son while I was in the hospital. We were on a limited budget and did not know...
Pros: Pretty effective for me! Cons: Pulse button punctured after repeated uses. Pain to clean inside.
I'm currently using this after just having my second daughter. For the first couple weeks its been used daily, as its less painful to pump with this than to let the baby do the work. I really haven't had any trouble with it, except occasionally the...
Luckily I bought this pump at a garage sale for only $20. The woman told me that she paid $60 for it. Now I know why she got rid of it. I have a clogged milk duct and need something to suck the milk out. I tried this breast pump and it didn't do a thing....
Pros: Not a single thing! Cons: Ineffective, painful, wasteful, frustrating, shall I go on?
Let me start with saying that I am a nurse that works mostly in obstetrics, (Labor and Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery), so I know how facilitate the let-down reflex, and how to breastfeed, and use a pump correctly. Well, to be honest, I...
Pros: Not noisy, comfortable, lots of features. Cons: Doesn't work very well
I had a hand held electric breast pump I purchased that I loved until it broke down. I purchased this one thinking it would be better. It didn't stimulate a let down like my other one, the suction wasn't as strong, and the release button didn't work...
This pump is a COMPLETE waste of money. Yes it may be cheap but it won't last very long. I used all of 3 times before it broke. It is cheaply made and completely worthless. If you want a decent pump go and buy a Medela, Avent or Ameda all are good quality pumps. If you are exclusively pumping you are probably better off renting a hospital grade pump. Don't waste your money on this product.
