Pros: Nutritious, Easy For Baby To Hold, Dissolves Easily Cons: Parents May Be Concerned With The Wheel Going Into Baby's Mouth All At Once
Back when my son first began eating solids, I spent a lot of time in the baby/toddler aisle looking for suitable foods for him to pick up and eat. Over the last six months I have found a number of products that suited our needs and have helped my son ...
Pros: Dissolves minimizing choking hazard Cons: Kind of big for babies
In my 7 month old baby's adventure in solid foods we've come across some interesting things. This product has to be one of the more unique. Gerber's Veggie Wagon Wheels are part of the Finger Foods line of baby foods. These foods are designed for babies...
Pros: My daughter loves the taste, crunchy Cons: Really not safe for infants (marketed wrong?), not much nutritional value
On one of my mother's relatively recent excursions to our local Shop Rite, she picked up a canister of Gerber Graduates Finger Foods- Carrot Wagon Wheels. She thought my daughter might enjoy them, as she (my daughter) especially loves crunchy foods. My ...
Pros: Perfect size to grab on to, no mess to clean up Cons: Wish they came in bigger cans
How can something so fun to eat be good for you too? The Gerber Wagon Wheels are a perfect snack for your toddler. They are a great source of Iron and Zinc. The Wagon Wheels come in 2 varieties, veggies or fruit. The veggie variety is made from real ...
Pros: The babies love them and it keeps the occupied. Cons: Can't purchase in bulk.
Let me start by saying that I wish they sold these in bulk. I would buy them in a 2 gallon container if it were available. We go through a lot of these. If you have read any of my other reviews you know that I have twins. That means I get to ...
Pros: May be healthy snack for older toddler Cons: Choking hazard for "new eaters"
I usually love Gerber finger foods products. The Wagon Wheels, however, should either be smaller or a different shape or have an age warning on them. These 1 1.4" circles can be dangerous! My toddler almost chocked on one when she put the entire circle in her mouth -- they do not dissolve all that quickly.
Gerber calls them "the right size to hold and pick up", but for a toddler learning to eat finger foods, much gets shoved in their mouths whole -- this included.
While these are healthy, and made with puffed wheat or rice and fruits or veggies, in my opinion they should be held off until child is old enough to realize that they must take a bite of their wagon wheel -- not shove it in whole.
