Pros: Really does give her something to chew on. Cons: Too long of a rubber nipple, too long of a plastic handle.
Gerber Soft Center chew toy, oop, I mean Pacifier. Pacifier yes. Used as a pacifier? No. Unless of course you consider her quietness a method of being pacified while she is chewing on the Gerber Soft Center Pacifier. ...
Pros: price, quality, my baby preferred them. Cons: hard to find, not orthodontic,
Before Bean was born, I bought pacifiers. Not just any pacifiers- but Gerber Nuk Pacifiers. After all, those are the ones that Monster preferred and ones that you can buy just about anywhere. Im sure that you can imagine my surprise at the waste of...
Pros: Priced right, bright colors, durable, preferred by my breastfed baby Cons: One size only, non-orthodontic
When pregnant with my daughter, I signed up for a few Baby Registries. I wanted some NUK Pacifiers because isn't that what all the experts recommend? So, I ended up receiving quite a few of them in different colors and sizes. Great, I was ready. I ...
Pros: Shield does not touch face, long lasting, completely satisfying to his needs. Cons: Comes in only one size.
Before I had my baby I stocked up with one package of pacifiers from each brand. I picked the orthodontic pacifier from Gerber, not the Soft Center pacifier. After I had my baby, he had a lot of eating problems. He just could not figure out how to use ...
Pros: Works great! No complaints here. Cons: After a while the nipple starts losing its shape and changing color.
My daughter has been using this type of pacifier since she was about 2 months old (she is 7 months now). She absolutely loves it and although she will accept other types of pacifiers, the only pacifiers she really likes are the Gerber Soft Center. ...
Pros: easy to find, price, baby loves them!!! Cons: none
These pacifiers are the only ones that my little one will take! I tried tons of others, and she couldn't keep them in her mouth. They were very easy to find... Walmart, Target, and most grocery store carry them. They also come in latex and silicone. She likes both! They are only about $3 for two. Give them a try!!!
Pros: Easily held in baby's mouth! Cons: Hard to find!
The Gerber Soft Center Pacifier is absolutely wonderful! I went through a dozen types, styles and brands of pacifiers and my son could not hold a single one in his mouth for more that a few seconds (but he wanted something to suck on)! Finally, I read on message board that several parents said they had the same problem and that I should try this pacifier before giving up. I finally found one at my local grocery store. My son loves it and get so happy when he sees it. It is a great pacifier!
Great for breastfed babies!! by missyluvsandy ,Jun 24 '06
Pros: Feels more like breast and doesn't become uncomfortable for nose/cheeks. Cons: Does not come in many colors/styles.
My son was breastfed and he has such a hard time holding a pacifier in his mouth. He also had very chubby cheeks, which is what attracted us to this paci in the first place. The base of it is curved out so it doesn't make those annoying indentations in his cheeks and we didn't have to worry about it smashing his nose or becoming uncomfortable when he was very tiny. It is more like the breast and he took too it right away. They are hard to find but he would not take another kind of pacifier. I do with they would make them in more colors, options and even a bigger version for older babies but I am not going to complain since these pacifiers work wonders!!
Pros: Every baby that I know that has tried it, loves it!
More comforting shape. Cons: They are harder to find at times.
We love these pacifiers! They have been the only kind that all 3 of my children would take. We tried all the others and nothing else would comfort them at all. They are a little harder to find but I've found them in most of my local grocery stores. Overall this is the best pacifier out there according to my kids.
the only one the baby would take by sandbox76 ,Mar 06 '07
Pros: price, shape, size Cons: none
Our baby doesn't like nukes very much, in fact he doesn't use them. But when we were trying out different kinds, this was the only one he would take. It may have been the shape of it, closer to the nipple or the shape of my finger (which he would take more then the nuke).
The price was right so we didn't mind buying them in order to try them out...and throwing them out if they didn't work and he didn't like them.
Gerber Soft Center Pacifier by hichristiea ,Jul 11 '06
Pros: Won't fall out of baby's mouth like others. Some babies won't take anything else. Cons: With time (or when left in a hot car) they turn sticky and disintegrate .
My first child had three different sizes; the largest is 3 to 4 times larger than the newborn size. When I purchased it was labeled Toddler.
My second child will only use this style and Gerber now just makes the newborn size. When I called them I was told that they never made larger sizes and mine must have swollen with use.
I'm blown away. I have no doubt that these Gerber Soft Center Latex Pacifiers came in 3 different sizes. Now I'm wondering what kind of cover-up they've got going.
Pros: My kid loves them. Cons: Can't find the same size we originally bought anywhere.
As with the previous review, when my son was born I bought him the Gerber soft center latex pacifier. I don't remember noticing an age label on it but the bulb is large. Now the ONLY ones I can find anywhere are labeled "newborn" and are at least half the bulb size of the ones I originally bought. Of course my son LOVES these and absolutely refuses any other type of binky and refuses the newborn sized soft center ones, so Gee, Thanks (note sarcasm) I guess I will have to try to hold on to and maintain the 2 I have from his birth for the next 2 years. Great.
