Got "tired" of my old tires

by newtownbeans Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Jun 13 '07
Pros: Excellent tires for the money; superb traction; very good comfort; great tread wear.
Cons: None so far.
Not too long ago I purchased new tires for my two Toyota Camrys. On the recommendation of my service repair dealer, I installed Avon tires on both these cars. It wasn't very long before these tires started to show serious wear. The Avons on my older ...

Driving on The Wings of Goodyear; The Start of A Beautiful Relationship

by vemartin Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, Oct 02 '05
Pros: Outstanding performance under all road conditions.
Cons: N/a
I can’t believe that we have reached fifty thousand miles on our 2003 Chevrolet Impala, but there it is, and so we have. Also the front right passenger side tire had also developed an annoying slow leak that refused to be repaired, despite a few ...

Just what I was looking for.

by joelamb7467 , Aug 01 '07
Pros: Pretty quiet and comfortable. Great dry and wet traction. Good looking.
Cons: Nothing so far (20,000 mi.)
I purchased a 1996 Buick Park Avenue from my father-in-law about 6 months ago and it needed new tires...so the search began. I was looking for a high quality tire that would have good traction. I decided on Goodyear because they are a block from my ...

Glad I got 'em when I did!

by gopherm , Feb 05 '05
Pros: Traction and handling under all conditions and the quiet comfortable ride.
Cons: The price, but I'm glad I paid it.
What an impressive tire. The ride, handling and comfort are all they are built up to be. I had 70,000 miles on my original tires and would have stretched them to the full 80,000 they were rated for if summer had been in front of me instead of winter. ...

Assurance is insurance for the daily commuter.

by asterb , Jan 19 '07
Pros: Long tread life awesome all season performance Awesome ability to handle all weather conditions
Cons: not the best in any one category
This review is about the tire and what it offers and delivers. Many people want to buy the supreme ALL PERFORMANCE tire yet these same people do not want the negatives associated with superior performance. Seriously, a drag racer who uses racing slick to ...

Rain, Ice and Snow. The Verdict Is In for Goodyear's TripleTreds.

by boogacow , Jan 12 '07
Pros: Very good treadwear, perform every bit as good as advertised, and then some.
Cons: They don't last forever. Seriously, I have nothing bad to say about these tires...
Hello again fellow Epinionators, your loyal reporter Boogacow has been at it again, and has a fresh report for you about the GoodYear Assurance TripleTred snow, ice, and water tires. Snow Ice and Water, well what the heck is left? ...

Great tires...an upgrade for most, but not all

by wjob , Nov 10 '06
Pros: Handling, low noise, wet weather grip, warranty/tread life.
Cons: Expensive initial cost, might not be well matched to those who prefer soft riding tires
I've had two sets of these tires...one on a 2001 Honda Accord and another on a 2005 Mazda MPV. (Which leads me to some interesting comparisons...read on.) In both cases, the TripleTreds have been a significant upgrade over the OE tires. I can comment ...

Excellent, American Tires

by mfridman , Mar 19 '05
Pros: American made. Quiet. Smooth. Good grip. Rim protection.
Cons: Not cheap--but good stuff rarely is.
The Michellin Rainforce tires that I had on my Volvo were about dead, so I replaced them with the new Goodyear Assurance TripleTred tire, because they were highly rated by the members of TireRack.com, and also highly recommended by my favorite tire ...

I agree these tires are AWESOME!

by flyingmoose , Apr 04 '05
Pros: Excellent snow and rain traction, quiet and smooth.
Cons: Price and no history on tire life and all the stuff they kick up.
I replaced a set of Goodyear GA's with these on my 1998 Intrepid. I thought the GA's were good in the foul weather and I was running them at 45 psi for help in the wet, it really does help, but the ride is stiff. My wife didn't trust the GA's in the ...

Are they looking at my tires or my car?

by panther1432 , Aug 12 '04
Pros: Amazing Wet/Dry Performance, Great Warranty, Awesome Looks, Newfound Confidence While Driving
Cons: Not designed for vehicles with hubcaps, a bit expensive
After seeing numerous ads on television, I decided to look into Goodyear’s Assurance line of tires. Meant to phase out the aging Eagle series, Goodyear’s Assurance line of tires come in two varieties: Assurance featuring TripleTred Technology ...

Goodyear's "next generation" AquaTred

by mskvarenina , Jul 17 '04
Pros: Excellent wet pavement handling, also excellent on dry pavement, and quiet too! 80,000 mile warranty.
Cons: Price, as you'd expect, top of the line tires, come with a price to match.
Well, it was that time again. I needed to get new tires for my Honda Accord. My last tires were Goodyear AquaTreds, I was thrilled with them (see my review of the AquaTred here on Epinions) and I had every intention on getting another set. To my ...

I Need all the Assurance I can get; In comes Goodyear

by butanemopar , Sep 24 '06
Pros: Hydroplane resistant, responsive, quieter, premium tire
Cons: kind of expensive, but safety's worth it!
WINTER UPDATE So I've spent 8 months with these tires now, and I have to say that it's been the best automotive 8 months ever. The Stratus tracks perfectly and runs smoothly with plenty of traction at all times. The tires have kept their nice new black ...

Quiet Ride at a Great Price!

by tombeaman , Sep 09 '06
Pros: Highly rated, quiet, and comforting.
Cons: These have a stiffer side-wall, so they handle more like a truck tire.
Our 2002 Honda Odyssey needed new tires, so after checking with Consumer Reports and various sites on the internet, I went to America's Tire Company and bought the Triple Treds. We've had them for over 2000 miles now, and are very pleased. The tread ...

I Assure You, You'll Like these Tires

by scmrak scmrak is a Lead on Epinions in Cars & Motorsports, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50, May 24 '06
Pros: great wet and dry handling, relatively quiet, long tread life
Cons: slightly less great handling on snow and ice, or so I've heard
If the truth be told, I was never overly fond of the OEM tires that came on our 2002 Honda CR-V. Those Bridgestone Dueler H/Ts may have been a little more to my liking had I still lived in Colorado's relatively dry climate, but in Texas where I could ...

by rgt50848 , Feb 26 '06
Pros: Great Traction wet or dry, great handling and they are wearing well.
Cons: A bit noisy.
I drive a 2003 Chevrolet Impala LS that has the 200 HP 3.8L V6 and ABS. The car has about 69,000 miles on it so far. The Chevy came equipped with a set of Goodyear Eagle GA Tires from the Dealer. I ran them to about 60,000 miles, did a little ...
